Well, according to Bandai's hobby site, the MG S-Freedom Special Option version has been renamed to "Strike Freedom Gundam Full Burst Mode", or something along those lines. And the model kit comes with two beam shields, which is nice I guess. But the lack of pictures is frustrating me.. when will we get a decent picture of the gold plated version? Bah.

- Reminds me, I've been planning "An Idiots Guide to GunPla" for quite some time.

Based on experience, it's best if you use a plastic cutting pliers, like the ones used by Tamiya. Personally, I think that the kind of pliers sold at craft shops (the ones that do scrapbooks or beads) do well enough, and they're cheaper than the Hobby Pliers. Remember, the pliers are there to separate the part from the tree/sprue. They're not usually meant for detail work. If you have a problem trying to cut the part away from the tree, try cutting the whole section of the sprue (to seperate it from the rest of the tree), then cut off the sprue bits.\

I actually have a Dengeki Hobby mag from 2000 that shows some of these basics, plus how to use sandpaper and primer. I'll see if I can scan it in and post one of these days.

Well I might as well repaint the whole thing, seems that all I need is some sandpaper-ing (which is unfortunately something I can't do right now given my work schedule, and no, GunPla is not something during the night).

Yes. There will be probably be another release as well with other equipment.
