Couldn't resist strike freedom... got my friend to preorder for me... dang... :heh:

srb 2006-10-20 05:57

The gold isn't as apparent in the design and it's a real golden colour (well, at least on the limited one) instead of plastic poo. The SF actually looks decent.

cyw1988 2006-10-20 09:23

The Strike Freedom pictures above... Are those from the special edtion one?

Akyra 2006-10-20 10:06

Hmmm, now the long wait for the 1/100 Akatsuki with the two packs, and the Stargazers series...

Meehlimo 2006-10-20 10:44

Yo so does them rings on stargazer really glow or is that just good painting?

Raider. Calamity. Forbidden.

MY WAIT IS ALREADY HAPPENING :(.

DarkWarrior 2006-10-20 13:46

I can't resist anymore.. I'm definitely preordering MG Strike Freedom Special Option version. It looks too good to pass up.. my first CE MG, here I come! :D I'm worried about the box size though.. I doubt it'll fit inside a SAL SP box, so I may be forced to use the expensive EMS instead. :(

.. not to be rude or anything, but aren't the chances for that practically zero? :heh:

srb 2006-10-20 14:14

There is a slight possibility. Very slight.

MG Destiny and MG X for me.

Fafnir 2006-10-20 16:34

With X's big rise in popularity, we may see one, especially if the GFF version does well.

If they were to release one MG right now, I'd want it to be X. It's one of my favorite MS designs, if not it is my favorite.

sylharion 2006-10-20 17:36

does any1 know the height difference between a hguc and a ce seed 1/144 model thanks ?

Those two are on the top of my list too. :) If they do release a MG X, I hope they include parts for X Divider.

And anyone else notice that the 100th MG release is coming up? Bandai seems to be hyping it up, so I'm guessing that it's going to be something really big.. :D

dodgethis_sg 2006-10-20 19:11

I'll bet it's a.....

*drum roll*

Special edition recolour / chrome-plated / clear-plastic kit

Dude wait a sec, which is faster? SAL or EMS?

EMS is the fastest one available, but also the most expensive. Delivery time is usally a week. SAL is a lot cheaper, but can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

Dude, I've been waiting on those for years now. Can someone please do a corporate takeover on Bandai for just a few weeks to make these kits :heh: :heh: :uhoh: :heh:

I mean, hell, just make a 1/100 skeleton with parts for all 3 gundams, I'm sure that'll lower production costs :heh:

- You know, for some reason the boxart pose gives me vaguely Providence/Legend Gundam vibes. Maybe it's just the overall look.

- No, you're not seeing things. In the manga series/short novels "Advance of Zeta", The Gaplant TR-5 has a Gundam-like head. Check out Dengeki Hobby Magazine...or better yet, my scans of the TR-5.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...wk/gaplant.jpg

To be honest, I'd love it more if they had released the TR-5 with "Fiver" add-on system (Two I-Fiels generators, extended boosters, and the capability to carry two more Mobile Suits in MA mode)...But I want that. :p

I'd also like to grab the Kerberos BuCue--mainly because I want to try and fit the Kerberos pack to the Zaku Warrior and call it "Anak Ni Zuma!!!" (Pinoy Komiks in-joke there, folks)

duotiga 2006-10-21 02:56

HG or 1/100 Destiny Impulse would be good also.....and where is Blast impulse to complete my colelction?????

duotiga 2006-10-21 09:31

Dalong got shots of Strike IWSP

Noir pack derives frm IWSP

LoweGear 2006-10-21 10:17

Long version: Supposedly that Strike IWSP was Sven's, and was used in tests to develop the Strike Noir. Afterwards, that Strike was upgraded into Strike Noir, and the data from the IWSP was used in creating the Noir Striker.

LightningZERO 2006-10-21 10:30

What!? Sven is the pilot? I don't know that!!! And does this Strike has somehow...darker colour?

duotiga 2006-10-21 10:40

sad the both Grand Slam and 2 katanas are not chrome......

maybe this explain it?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strike_Gundam

Between the First and Second Wars, the Earth Alliance obtains a IWSP and upgrades it, mounting it a what appeared to be a second GAT-X105 Strike unit. This IWSP (or possibly the same one for the Strike Rouge) is later mounted on Waid Rabby Nadaga's Slaughter Dagger.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Striker_Pack

AQM/E-X09S Noir Striker: Designed for the GAT-X105E Strike Noir. The Noir Striker is conceptually similar to the IWSP in that it combines the primary capabilities of the Aile, Sword and Launcher strikers. It is a flight pack mounting two anti-ship beam swords, two railguns, and a rocket anchor.

Orb Union (CE 71)
P202-QX IWSP Integrated Weapons Striker Pack: The IWSP was a PMP (Propulsion and Machinery Progess) design to combine the primary characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs into a single unit. As such it was very heavy, very powerful and very, very expensive. It included two 9.1m anti-ship swords, similar to (and possibly inspired by) the "Gerbera Straight" katana used by the MBF-P02 Astray Red Frame, two 115mm rail guns, two 105mm cannons, one Midas Messer beam boomerang and a shield mounting a 30mm six-barrel Gatling cannon. It was never used because Cagalli Yula Athha was unable to master the complicated weapon controls in the short time between its completion and the war's end. After the war, the still incomplete IWSP was installed on the Strike Rouge for show - however, this led to some confusion and even resulted in some believing that the IWSP was actually used at Jachin Due. In CE 72, a second IWSP was built as a collaboration between PMP and Actaeon Industries, which was handed over to Phantom Pain and designated AQM/E-M1. This version included minor alterations, but the armament was unchanged. This second IWSP was installed on a GAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger in CE 73 for use by an joint Phantom Pain/Orb force intended to hunt down the Martian crew of the Acidalium.

About that black stand, is that really the one that's going to be included in the Strike Freedom Special Option version? Because from what I can tell, Bandai is going to sell it separately starting in November for about 500 yen.

No, that's the Cosmic Region Akatsuki. Which is basically a prebuilt action figure in 1/144 scale.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
:( :( :(
@Dark Warrior:Thanks for letting me know.
@Bandai: Thanks for letting me down...

srb 2006-10-21 17:28

And the HG Akatsuki is already 4200 yen due to the chrome plating. A MG or even 1/100 Akatsuki would cost more than other ones as well.

Komataguri 2006-10-21 20:32

Heh, I'm such a fanboy [ or should I say gunboy? Or...Maybe Keroro Gunsou, lawl ]

I have
HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam [ Already have one, but it took a suicide dive and broke its legs and lost several small parts ]

MG 1/100 RX-79[G] Ground Combat Gundam [ Already have one, Slowly trying to fill out the ranks and make a 08th MS Team group ]

MG 1/100 RX-78 GP02A " Physalis " Gundam

MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Ver.Ka Gundam

All on their way to me as I speak. My wallet wants to kick my ass for teh abuse shes been through lately >_>

I was thinking, the way the SP Option is packaged, do you think we'll end up getting two stands? (seeing as though the normal MG already comes with a stand, we're meant to get another custom one with the SP options?)

So basically, Strike Noir started out as an original EA-spec/Orb-spec Strike Gundam?

dodgethis_sg 2006-10-22 04:27

*salutes Bandai's brilliant plan to milk an extra 2200 yen from fanboys*
