Your Favorite Character(s) in Macross Frontier
 

Welcome to your favorite characters' thread where you get to vote for more than one of your favorite characters in Macross Frontier. Now, why stop at just voting for your favorite characters when you can also let the rest of the fanbase know why those characters appeal to you? I know I'm going to pick Sheryl because she is my girl.. (:D) and then vote for Ozma Lee because he is dashing... and then Ranka Lee because she can wonderfully mix her whiny-bratty personality and concoct into something of an irresistable charm that is hard to describe. And then I'll vote for... allright I'm not yet sure whom I'll vote for next..may be for than gigantic chick who can turn into a loli. I'm confident I'll be able to decide once I've seen episode 12 and 13.

I'll also try to add pictures to those characters in the opening post providing I'll be able to locate a screen cap. Also, special thanks to Zalem for the list of characters. :)

The Pixies. They don't get much screentime, but that's probably to their credit. It'll be sad when they buy it. :(

Anyway, Klan seems to be one of the more thoughtful, intelligent characters in the show. She doesn't throw silly battlecrys and yell at everything in the middle of a battle. She isn't given bad lines. She listens to and observes people. If you asked her a question, she'd give you a straight answer. She also knows how to relax and take advantage of her child-like appearance as a miclone, but only when it's appropiate.

And Nene seems to be a bit unsteady, but it's cute. We only see her combat once where she was shot down by Alto, but she lost in a cute way.

Rere hasn't said a word yet, and the most action we've seen from her is throwing a dart and that was in the last episode.

With any luck, they'll get some unit developement, but Frontier doesn't seem to be going in a direction where that'll happen.

Well, Sheryl is my absolute favorite in this series but I also voted for Klan Klan, Brera and Canaria because I like them a lot too.

Ouch. Honestly, I was *this* close to checking the box for Ranka, but the idea that she might turn out to be some kind of experiment gone wrong has turned me off big time.

For all we know both Sheryl and Ranka are weird experiments of some sort. That actually doesn't bother me. But I just prefer Sheryl and the other characters over Ranka.

I voted for Ranka and Mikel >_<

I only voted for Sheryl since her awesomeness puts even the other good characters to shame so I can't really vote for anyone besides her.

I see Sheryl comfortably in first place and Klan comfortably in second place. Oh who am I kidding, this is to be expected!

Anyway, shouldn't that be Michel Blanc aka Mikhail? It's only Alto who's calling him Mikhail, and at the end of ep 9 Alto has also taken to calling him Michel, to the delight of Luca.

Queen Sheryl #1 obviously.

However, my #2 spot changed after the Ranka supermove in episode 11:



Even though I don't normally like moe/loli characters, the sheer humor and absurdity of that event won me over. If we're voting for Saimoe, I'd definitely vote for Ranka as number 1.

And Alto-hime goes from #2 to #3 since you can't have a triangle without the main male lead... and he's actually a fairly competent pilot. ;)

His actual name is spelled Michael Blanc. Michel is supposedly a nickname?

^Was that how it's written in the magazines or other promotional stuff? If so, then it's fine by me. I only preferred Michel Blanc because it's French through and through, and it's how the SMS people pronounce his name.

I think it's Mikhail -> Misha to his friends (familiar form of Mikhail).
Michael is pronounced completely differently, and he would be called Mike or Mikey instead.
