The real last episode of K-on coming soon!!
I am sad... K-on was funny and heartwarming.
Watching the final ep24, I cryed because of the emotional storyline.
Even if the last ep26 will be funny, maybe I will cry because the end of K-on come out!!

Not literally. It's the last tv episode. There will still be an additional DVD/BD only episode, due for release on march 2011. Also see this thread.

Though I don't recall seeing an official announcement yet, it's pretty much a given, considering we get 9 Blu-Rays with 3 episodes each, for a total of 27 episodes, of which 26 on TV.

I didnt cry,because ep26 was very very wonderful ending! And looking foward to K-on movie very much.

As much as the news makes me happy, I do have my worries, as this can go two ways from here: a smashing success or a gigantic let-down. If the first, then the franchise will ascend to become timeless. If the latter, it will die a swift (and unexpected) death. I pray they don't rush things and get as much out of it as possible.

I'm curious as to what this movie will cover then, if it's not gonna be a retelling/recap of the original show.

Eh? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Japan? A K-On movie? What could one possibly make a K-On movie about?

I'll wait for the first trailers to come out to make a more-informed decision on how to feel about this, but . . . at first blush, this has "bad idea" written all over it.

Holy, f--, this just made my week.

I do not think the movie will bring new material, only a summary of the series.
