I read the beginning of the first volume and found it pretty good.

I've read the first translated chapter and found it good too.

Also this is the series that good an anime faster than any other that I've remember, with only two volumes the anime was anounced. Now the series has three volumes.

From cute loli to sadistic loli, the change was too great. And she was cute in the first chapter too. What a bummer.

But it's an interesting development nevertheless.

Ah this is good stuff if your looking for a light read..

BTW, it's like The World God Only Knows-style, but with a typical novel protagonist and a sadistic lil' sis.

I had read the first volume somewhere else and the story is quite good. The story is basically like playing Galgame in real life, quite similar to TWOGK.

Basically, the spirits in this series are the powerful existances from other dimensions. Once they arrive in the real world, there will be massive damage to the surroundings. There are two approaches as to how to deal with the spirits. Some people choose and insist to fight the spirits directly while other set of people believe that the best way is that someone going for a date with the spirit and calm it down so that it would not cause any more danger to the society.
The story follows Shidou the protagonist as he is forcibly recruited by an organisation to try to have a date with a spirit that appeared recently.

The voice seems familiar. If it's who I think it is, I'm wondering whether she'll voice the main heroine or not.

The voice sounds familiar to me too..,normally, that kind of voice belong to 'long-haired-girls'. Just an intuition though.

The voice is Kobayashi Yuu.

... so am I the only one who upon seeing the volume covers thought "great, not just another killer-looking loli, but one that's practically a clone of Shana (in terms of looks) too"?

... I guess I shall retract my guess then...

Is there a source for the cast? Going by ear I would have guessed Marina Inoue.

Actually, she reminded me of Houki in IS because of her dress, for the first, though the third does look like shana.

Last time I've checked, long black hair isn't trademarked to Shana...

Though she knows how to make it popular. :D

Long black hair+ red eyes (and the color red in general) do tend to associate with Shana...

and I can some similarity to Houki in the first one... actually, in the third it looked a lot like Shana; it took me a moment to realize that I was actually thinking of Alice from Pandora Hearts in comparison to the first

I thought of Alice too, but her face is way too devilish for that.

Volume 2 reminds menof a character, though I can't get my hand on her name.
