Took me a total of 3 weeks from start to finish and as of now i have not built the 0 raiser nor do i plain on too any time soon because i think its ugly. I changed mine up a bit too see if you can guess what it is, not really all that hard to do.

lol, is that the ZZ logo on its chest?

ha, lucky I didn't fall for the first one, I knew they would do some shit like that to V gundam. V Gundam always had a special place in my heart since V 1:100 is the first gundam I ever built in my life:)

Read the review carefully. The reviewer only recommended this kit because there is nothing else for a good looking ZZ.

Transformation requires massive parts-swapping. And in order to accomodate the core fighter to compliment the transformation gimmick, the flexibility you have come to expect for most HG kit is reduced to a new low for the HGUC ZZ. The only positive point he can give is that it looks good. Now do you still feel like folking out cash for once ?

transformation doesnt really care for me as i wld be fixing it as a MS not MA :heh: even if i want to have it turn MA mode i cash in for another set which i had done for previous HG kits i grab (zeta, kyrios, arios, etc ) :eyespin:

i only have 2 transformable kits the 144 0 riser and the andy waltfeld gundam. i keep the 0 riser on the 00 gundam just to save space and the poses. i think i only had my gaia gundam in MS mode twice for photos. i usually keep it in MA mode as imo it looks better that way. i really only got the gaia gundam for the MA mode. i havent bothered yet to get any doubles aside from size scales and variations on the suits.

If that's the review, then I'm forking out cash for the ZZ anyway. The ZZ's design inherently doesn't lend itself to poseability anyhow unless you apply PG-esque techniques to it (even the Master Grade ZZ wasn't as poseable as its counterparts), and I'd prefer stability and presentability over playability, hence the parts swapping isn't much a problem for one such as myself who keeps his Gundams statically displayed for days on end (especially now that I use them to adorn my PC Rental business).

And lest it be said that it is an HGUC ZZ: I've waited for about a decade to get my old HG 1/144 ZZ replaced. :heh:

Edit:

Speaking of reviews, Dalong's review of the HGUC 1/144 ZZ. Also includes comparision with the old HG 1/144. Oh the nostalgia...

i just got this kit yesterday also....

JC... 2010-06-19 10:17

It's a 'bit' misleading, because the Masurao is quite tall for a HG, apparently though I don't have that many, so I can't really tell.

Dynamite 2010-06-19 16:01

I might sound kinda weird saying this, but doesn't the 1/144 G Gundam look like it has some pretty big thighs?

Well it's normal that the God Gundam is smaller, as the G Gundam MS, as well as all those from the shows ranging from F91 to X, were in the 15 m range.

Seed and 00 MS are in the 18-20m range, like their UC pre-F91 predecessors. The transition occurred in UC during F91, with modern compact MS outclassing their bulky forebears. As for why all the following series were in the same range, maybe it was in order to produce less plastic hungry gunpla :heh:.
