where do you europeans buy your manga?
where do you people always get your manga? I always buy them at a online shop (archonia.com) because the people at my local comic store are a bunch of swindlers, they charge for one manga around 30$... they always have lame excuses, expensive shipping costs, import taxes blablabla
|
Archonia is being gay with jap manga.. I stick to sasugabooks for that, but archonia is great for everything else.
|
I usually get them in a japanimation shop or at the local book shop.

Have you had a look at the "Where do I buy"... sticky in the DVD & Licensed forum.
Megane listed a number of suggestions as to where you can order on-line for anime goods. In the U.K. I find amazon.co.uk a good source for anime, but that doesn't help you in the Netherlands. Seems you already know about archonia.com. |
I went to amazon.co.uk but the shipping costs are really expensive there for me :(
|
Have you looked at http://www.omochabox.com/s/home?i=0,1
i don't know how it comparet to the others but i thought if there is the smallest chance it might help then why not post it. I AM ODIN!! yeah yeah...odin, otaku whats the differance |
I buy from Gosh.
... a shop in London :P If anyone wants directions, let me know... |

While it seems cheaper than the nearby large Forbidden Planet, it's still expensive compared to the suggested on-line shops like amazon :( But it's a bit far to travel from the Netherlands (from where Tritium is located) :) |

I was quite suprised by how much stock they had, a nice big Anime and Manga section too :D. |
argh you people, quit making me jealous :p
|
I wish we had a book off here (like in NY and a few other places in the US), 1 to 3 dollar for used manga but in very good quality, that's just heaven...
|
In france Mangas are rather easy to get.
I go to Virgin Megastore and FNAC ( big french Media/Culture market ) and sometimes in specialized shops : www.koncy.com. Prices are reasonable and they always got stuff in stock. ruze. |
Hah, FNAC has the French manga there? I wish they'd stock that here too. XD
But I have 3 good stores for French manga here, I can't complain. x) |

That said, I read German translated manga so going to the store on the Mariahilferstraße isn't a surprise. |

i buy my manga from either Amazon.co.uk, Borders (rarely) or specialist shops around town :D
|
My bad yes it's www.konci.com.
FNAC has a HUGE collection of Mangas yes , and they can order it if they miss it. Yeah we can have big mangas for quite low ammount. One book of I's cost ... 5 euros :) ( 5$ approx ) But one book for Love Hina is 8 euros approx. It depends who edit the book and the size of it. We french are amazing fans of Mangas , and particulary Naruto and Love Hina, but we are far to have enough IRL shops. Buying manga is just a question of time in France tho , because we need to wait a lot for a manga to be translated in french. Get Backers 1 & 2 just went out here :) |
