The Internet domain name souleaternot.tv was registered under Kadokawa Corporation's name on October 18. The December issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine revealed on Tuesday that an “important announcement” for Atsushi Ohkubo's Soul Eater Not! spinoff manga will be published in the magazine's January issue on December 12.

but from my personal opinion...WHY they not finished the ORIGINAL soul eater first do a rebooot, since its already finished....

because soul eater is finished while Not is not (eh) finished

Well that neat but how many volumes dose Not have I only know of 2

Since Not (the manga) has started up again, I can see a possible Fall '14 airing since I do hope that we'll have enough material for a one-cour show by then.

Soul Eater Not will probably be a Spring 2014 series. At the recent BONES movie night event, they teased a mystery show ("OOOOOOO OOO!!") they were working on other than Chaika and Captain Earth. They also mentioned that the unannounced show would broadcast in the same season as Chaika, which seems likely to be Spring.

Since Spring shows are usually announced in December, that would also coincide with next month's Shounen Gangan having a major announcement for Soul Eater Not.

Good for Soul Eater Not.

Although feel like I'll constantly be reminded about how much I'd rather they actually go back and follow the manga material to conclusion instead of the anime-original stuff we actually got.

I read a couple volumes of the manga, it was pretty funny. I like how it's set a little before the beginning of of the main Soul Eater series. For some reason I was imagining Aki Toyosaki for Tsugumi as I was reading the manga.

It was also confirmed that Ohkubo had finished manuscripts for future chapters and lets people see series finale in anime first. Chapters from upcoming last volume will be released after anime.
