Studio 8's doing this, so if nothing else it'll look incredibly awesome. I watched a few clips on youtube but old adaptation is olddddd. Story sounds kinda ok though (inb4Medakavibe). I'm totally ok with Studio 8 being the future light/sci-fi novels adaption group of Sunrise. :topicoff: Spoiler for unrelated:

Staff & character lists are now up on the official website as well. OP by supercell, which of course makes tons of sense considering Nakamura Ryousuke directed the "perfect day" PV. |
Youkais + Dem Cherry Blossom Animation?
Natsume Yuujinchou (with a bit of sci-fi) meets Makoto Shinkai? SOLD! |
Looks very impressive. Nakamura Ryousuke also directed the Run, Melos episodes of Blue Literature, which was excellent.
|
Terrific preview. Looks intriguing.
|
Very nice PV. Lovely graphics. It does look a lot like Shinkai.
|
Is it me or is studio 8 handling all of Sunrise's more ambitious endeavors lately?

LOVE the visual style. Nice animation. Definitely keeping this on my radar.
|
Well, the animation looks good. I heard it's about Sci-fi. Any hint about genre like romance or anything else beside sci-fi?
|
Reading through the website its not really my kind of thing, but those are some gorgeous visuals. Reminds me of both Shinkai and Hosoda.
@Valky: Do you like love polygons? |
@winhlp32 : Not really, love polygons kinda tiring to read/watch. I prefer harem situation than love polygons. lol. Btw, is there perhaps a love polygon in this movie?
|
Its what the character page on the movie website is suggesting, yes.
|
Well, that kinda drop my expectation, but I'll give it a try nonetheless.

ANN brought in the news this morning, and so I'll try to check this flick out next year. |
Yay, Mayuyu! I read the news earlier, but I forgot I made this thread some time back. Lol.
Mayu Watanabe (AKB48) plays Natsuki, the main heroine. She will also sing the theme song. Yuutaro Motoshiro (Ao in E7AO) plays Kenji the male lead. New key visual: http://i.imgur.com/XzpIf.jpg |

Is it me, or are the character designs quite androgynous?
