Sunrise is producing an animated movie based on Nerawareta Gakuen. The director is Ryosuke Nakamura (Mouryou no Hako). There's information in this month's anime mags.

Studio 8's doing this, so if nothing else it'll look incredibly awesome. I watched a few clips on youtube but old adaptation is olddddd. Story sounds kinda ok though (inb4Medakavibe). I'm totally ok with Studio 8 being the future light/sci-fi novels adaption group of Sunrise.

I dunno about ambitious, but it just seems like they handle all the novel adaptations lately. Horizon, Accel World, Nerawareta. All novels.

Reading through the website its not really my kind of thing, but those are some gorgeous visuals. Reminds me of both Shinkai and Hosoda.

@winhlp32 : Not really, love polygons kinda tiring to read/watch. I prefer harem situation than love polygons. lol. Btw, is there perhaps a love polygon in this movie?

Yay, Mayuyu! I read the news earlier, but I forgot I made this thread some time back. Lol.

Mayu Watanabe (AKB48) plays Natsuki, the main heroine. She will also sing the theme song.

Yuutaro Motoshiro (Ao in E7AO) plays Kenji the male lead.

It'll be screening at Edinburgh as part of the scotland loves anime festival on October 20th

Here's their synopsis:

Spring marks the start of another new school year at a junior high school in Kamakura. A new transfer student, Ryoichi Kyogoku joins the 8th grade. Kyogoku has a very special proficiency in telepathy and has been ordered by his father to use this ability to scan other people’s minds and take over the school.

He instantly gains popularity at school from his good looks and charisma and he sets about taking control of the school. As people begin to fall under Kyogoku’s spell, he covertly manipulates his followers and pushes aside anyone who gets in his way.

With the school almost completely under the control of Kyogoku, only one boy seems unaffected – Seki. Does Seki have what it takes to save everyone from the clutches of mind control?
