If you liked Lain, then you have to see Boogiepop Phantom, and the Vampire Princess Miyu OVAs are worth checking out. It looks like you'd appreciate Princess Tutu also. Don't be put off by the name.

Nadia: Secret of Blue Water.

Last Exile - Reminds me of FF7 in some ways.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime - Currently up to Episode 9 of 12. Supernatural and Vampires rule this anime.

Chrono Crusade - 2 episodes out as far as I know. Supernatural/Paranormal about a religious organization that battles demons and such in early 20th century New York City.

Mayyyybe - Wandering with the Wind Ran Tsukikage? Silly. Samurai woman who drinks a lot wandering around with ninja girl and being episodically silly while fighting bad guys.

Scrapped Princess

Try Soul Hunter- fate, history, old times, comedy, seriousness....
Main character is a "special" not quite human person who use to be human and needs to figure out his role and mission between the humans, the gods, the immortals, and all that.

Spiral

Try Shingetsutan Tsukhime - mind boggling drawing clues, also Read or Die the TV series- plot thickens..., Firetripper the movie...twisty turny concept

Inuyasha

Try Naruto, YuYuHakansho, and Flame of Recca for the fighting of the week,
If you like the romance part...hmmm, maybe flame of recca... better go Fushigi Yuugi for epic and romance, or Ranma 1/2 which has the romance but not the serious plot
If you like the ancient time period + fighting, try Peace Maker Kurogane, Rurouni Kenshin

Try Fushigi Yuugi (Another almost everything anime with girl main char, guys fighting to protect her)
Dual - You don't like mechs. I don't really like mechs. I'm okay with them, I just think they're a little dumb. Though I did find exception in the fact that I adore Escaflowne and Dual was good too. School girl sent to another world? Nope! School boy sent to another world as an experiment by a mad scientist because he followed a pretty girl home (she invited him).. Don't follow strangers!
Asagiri no miko (more Blue seedish, but short episodes, kinda silly)

If you haven't noticed, I'm making suggestions based on specific animes you listed.

I'll see if I can think of more, but man, it's hard when you don't have a list sitting smack dab in front of you listing out everything you've ever watched...
I'm not saying I've watched a ton, I'm just saying I haven't watched a little either....

Yup, Scrapped Princess was AWESOME and Spiral was pretty good, too- sounds like you would really like NARUTO!!!

Didnt like Getbackers..awww...dont be hatin'- if you watched eps 13-26, that was some sweet stuff

GITS is good, but I think it is overrated.

I've seen rave and the other drunken samurai one you mentioned. It's pretty funny yet the Op song scares me a little ^^"


It was ok, most of the time it was too dark to see anything. I watched it at a public anime group at our citie's university, theatre-like

And I've seen most of naruto, well, to 20 something.

I think you should try Kanon...if you're willing to spare the tears, lol...and if you get depressed easily it might be a bad idea...
We have roughly the same taste in Anime and I enjoyed Knaon thoroughly so...give it a try ^^

You might like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien if you liked Memories Off. This series acutally reminded me of it when I first saw it. They both sort of have the same concept.

Well Chibi i just wanted to point out, while we may have very simular tastes in videogames, our taste in anime varies. So i am not going to be able to help you on this one. Try Sorcerer Hunters

Try: Mahou Senshi Louie (Or Rune Soldier Louie). It definately reminded me a bit of Slayers when I watched it. Lots of magic and adventuring with a generous helping of humor.

You disliked getbackers??!! omg. Ok maby I understand that but what about hajime no ippo, i mean this one was FREAKIN AWSOME. Even I dont like sports anime, but this one was undoubtably amazing.
