yeah it also reminding me of Hkaru no Go but i hope the ghost wont vanish until the end like Sai who made the manga less interesting for me

I'm really enjoying this series. Sayuri is hilarious and I like the rivalry between the lead and his friend. The girl seems to be a bit lacking in personality and development, though. Feels more like she's just "there" for some comedy relief and occasional ecchi.

chapter 5....
dat cliffhanger. I'm interested to see what direction it heads next week.

ShiroiRyu 2011-10-07 10:04

But a good one i think. ^^

Pretty funny manga, Kurogane is a very interesting character...but if he has trouble lifting a .5kg shinai, how does he cope with that armour? :heh: Don't know much about kendo so it seems like there's a limited number of things to do with it, but I really hope the author surprises me on this one :)

Shadow5YA 2011-10-07 13:10

So Kurogane has the Sharingan? No wonder why he can win.

felix 2011-10-07 13:34

Isn't there another manga with the same exact name?

Bonta Kun 2011-10-07 14:33

Hmm hmm good stuff still from this very nice little serires so far.

Really liking it alot now.

Chibi Sayuri is damn cute, it's such a contrast between the 2 forms:p

And oh hohoho is that sparks I see between Kuro and Tsubame?;)

good good, I hope to see more of that.

You know thing is good few years ago I wouldn't have cared for romanic subplot is such a series but now I think if you have one it ccan add a great deal to the story if handled well enough.
And i would certainly like tosee one here, would be such a waste to not see melodrama/sparks when it involves such a lass as Tsubame, she's "cho kawaii!":D

felix 2011-10-07 14:36

Oh right about the manga. Really solid thus far, love it.

asbo 2011-10-07 16:11

No actually I searched and there are 5 manga's named Kurogane. And there's one that's literally named "Kurogane".

Also why isn't everyone suspicious of how our little swordman friend caries around all sorts of medicine and pesticide.

Kafriel 2011-10-08 04:45

He probably wants to be ready for everything...I'm more curious as to how our little swordsman friend got his left arm injured, and how an ornamental doll can pass around as a human being...also kinda wondering if Tsubame knows any kendo or if she's just the club's flower pot, i.e. just there to look good.

Shower accident? :heh: No seriously he's in kendo so probably just got waked hard in a competition.

Is Kurogane's weak physical condition really a genetic trait, or is it just from a lack of exercise?

I think I'd lean towards him naturally being weak as he does seem to par take in some activities, whether or not he actually does enough exercise on the whole I couldn't guess.
Thats the surprise here, usually a physically weak character tends to avoid sports or heavy activities as much as possible but Kurogane doesn't, he wants to take part.

I think it will probably be played that he's put through some heavy special training that will bolster his body but only is some ways that benefits his own style.
