I think i'll give mine away to someone who wants it or just leave it somewhere it can catch dust. Mine is all painted and stuff, but I will be happy to finally have a MG Athrun gundam and hope they make a Aegis/Saviour afterwards, an MG Justice could easily be the next Athrun suit though since it's quite similar frame-wise as IJ. :)

Hello, I've been lurking around here for the past couple of weeks and have finally brought myself to ask a question.

I've been using Tamyia and Testors pants for my models, but I've just been wanting to try the Gundam Markers for Gundam 00 just to have a set and try it out since I recieved my Avalanche Exia about a month ago. The problem is EVERYWHERE I look they are sold out.... Even Ebay. I've just been wondering if anyone here knows of a place that might still have some in stock.

Thanks in advance.

So today I'm thinking of picking up either the MG Shin Musha or the MG Impulse, but I had a question before I start anything. I was wondering if it's easier and better to paint the parts individually or just build the whole thing then paint it. I'm obviously no pro, which is why I'm asking the pros.

Rising Dragon 2008-08-31 13:04

... why are you people talking about getting rid of your MG models?

Nobody's getting rid of their MGs. We're talking about HG versions and what one could do with them when one gets a MG version of the same mobile suit.

That would depend on the specific piece and how it is positioned on the completed model.
If you're painting only details, then you can either do it once the model is complete, or before cutting it off the sprue.

Thanks for the advice, but what exactly do you mean by "painting only details"? Isn't detailing the whole point of painting anyway?

Oh, okay then. Still seems kind of dumb to get rid of your High Grades just because the Master Grades are out. Why get rid of something you put time, effort, and money in? Better to mod them or leave them as is instead of getting rid of them.

Yeah, that's why I said that I'll used my HG to reproduce the damaged Destiny when it clashes with a kicking IJ.

Quick noob question! Is clear paint lacquer the same as a paint sealer? If not, can it be used the same way?

JackRydden224 2008-09-01 00:30

How good are Gundam markers? My current living situation doesn't allow painting and such I would like to look into other options.

Thanks

theOtherGuy 2008-09-01 01:41

Ok, I know there's Rainbow Ten and then Hobby Link Japan cost slightly more. Are there any sites ever cheaper (not eBay or any similar "auction" sites) than those two with reasonable shipping?
