(Standard A4 size, 64pages)

Spoiler for Pics and contents:

No extras were included (like posters or cards) but considering it cost half the price of other artbooks of the same type (1000yen = dirt cheap) and the images are just awesome, I'm not complaining xD

You didn't link us the juicy pages!!!

Now I want a copy of this too =(.

two questions then:

you can read the review here
ranka

It s an official book so it seems that the arts are not that many...not that I'll buy it ^^
But I won't think twice if there're Sheryl Official Book :D I'd buy that for sure, hope they'll make one.

Shiroth 2009-12-03 09:15

Oh, so it's not a collection book like Sheryl's? That's quite a surprise. Loving some of those illustrations though, especially the china dress, cooking and the purple clouds.

Does she talk about her fleas? :D

The only thing the Ranka book has over the Sheryl one is a poster. :(

Question: so the Ranka official book just has a reproduction of Ranka's entries in the online blog? I can't really be too shocked from the lack of pictures considering Ranka had very few pictures to begin with. *sighs*I had a feeling it'd be like this.

I'm not so sure about the blogs being recycled from the online blogs but at least they didn't name it a "Visual Collection." I hope they decide to release a Visual Collection for Ranka somewhere in the future with Risa Ebata helping out.

But again what's the point, its just a blog entry? If that's all it is then they just should have put it in her blog. If they had named it a "Visual Collection" with so few pictures people would ask for their money back. I do doubt that there will be a Visual Collection for Ranka, taking popularity into account it wouldn't be an economically sound decision for them to release another Ranka book. Especially when the movie stops showing in theaters. Also Risa Ebata did not contribute to the Ranka Book, only to the Sheryl one. It also depends wholly on the artist, on whether or not Ebata wants to draw Ranka. Really Its like they released a Sheryl book with new images and actual effort. Then they realized that they had to do one for Ranka too, while the movie was still in theaters so that it will sell well. So they made up a few blog entries, put in some interviews, a few pictures of Ranka and called it a day.

No, you misunderstood me :heh: I was saying that I don't know if the blog entries were recycled or not and I know that Ebata didn't contribute anything to this "Official Book." But just hoping that they release a visual collection of sorts for Ranka because I for one would be interested.

Oh Don't mind me I'm currently drinking a cup of :frustrated:RAGE, over various other things as well not just this. But my agression has been carried over, sorry if I scared you.

:heh: *coughs*

Seriously though I really don't think that they will release a Visual Collection for Ranka, because if they did then they'd have to release an Official Book for Sheryl. There's also no guarantee that a Ranka centered Visual Collection will sell well (how much did the Ranka collection sell anyway?). You can dream though.

You didn't...scare...me :upset: In all seriousness though, it's alright. It's happened to me before :heh:

What a dilemma. Black rabbit Sheryl? White rabbit Sheryl?
