A thread for your favorite quotes from Shakugan no Shana (first season, second season and the movie). Please don't type out the entire script from an episode :) quote your favourite part of any scene or episode.

This thread will most likely contain spoilers! If you are posting a quote from a recent episode then please use spoiler tags. (hint and make sure that you include a title for the spoiler!).

But do my quotes really need to be spoilified?

SnS II: Episode 5:

Wilhelmina: It's time ~de arimasu.
Tiamat: Appointed time.
*opens, hands over ramen cup*
Alastor: This again?

*walking into a smoke-filled kitchen, with Wilhelmina preparing dinner*
Wilhelmina: Please do not worry. I have trained ~de arimasu.
Alastor: Looks like she didn't train to turn the ventilation on...

I guess that goes to your own discretion. But, speaking of season 2, if the subs for the last episode are out, I don't see problems in posting them "unveiled" :)

Of course, Shana's signature three words should be here. :)


For now, from episode 5 (not really favorite, but mah... oh well...:

Teacher: "asa kara kaeri made tsuki kiri rashi jya nai ka" - so true...

Yuuji: "boku ni kikaretemo, futari de nani ka hanashi demo aru jya nai ka na" - :nod::nod: Keep saying that, stupid Yuuji. Keep saying that... It'll be episode 12 before it gets solved... (sarcasm involved)

This thread screams "urusai, urusai, urusai."

Anyway, Eppy 13:

hmm, i have been wondering, doesn't urusai mean noisy or annoying? why do they use it as shut up instead of tamare? does it have something to do with their culture or something?

damare is closer to saying "be quiet" in english.

think of it this way: the words in "shut up" don't really make sense on their own (shut up what?); shut up is a set phrase that has been given a secondary meaning. And as an adjective that is sometimes used more like a command, urusai basically works the exact same way.

By far, the most moving speeches out of all the episodes + movie, is when Alastor reveals why he had chosen Shana:
