It's pretty clear what they're doing. A Killer is something that every army needs a few of, but can carry it to victory. And Mario is the perfect example of one. They're Killer apps. Just as the Atarika Shock was a reference to the Great Video Game Crash. It's a little clumsy at points, but the transition of video game history into fantasy history is being done pretty well, especially since the history of video games is fairly fascinating itself. I still wish we saw more of the Nintendo side of things, but the world's progressing along nicely. Like how genres correspond to different types of magic.

Episode 3 which is also the last episode, is scheduled to be aired on 4th April 23:00 JST at Tokyo MX channel. I expect Crunchyroll is going to simulcast it shortly afterward just like the first 2 episodes.
http://aoisekai.net/anime-onair.html There will be 2 DVD only episodes, 1 episode for each DVD and both of them are side story. The 1st one features Hero Myumuto and the 2nd one features Crystal. http://oab.sakura.ne.jp/gia/sumikko/paget_74.htm Too bad this adaptation only covered the 1st arc of the web manga. Episode 1-3 on the DVD seems to be uncut version, I wonder what they mean by the uncut... Is it only removing the censors from censored scenes or there are also some scenes which are being cut in the TV airing... |
Spoiler for Episode 3 + Review:

Well it dosnt seem like an ending but not to bad for only 3eps its just to bad that one cant see more of Opal
|
Interesting little OVA series. That whole Opal sequence was something special. I just wish we could've seen more of the Nintendo side. I've always been more of a Nintendo kind of guy than a Sega guy. I don't think Gear would be very happy knowing that things like Sonic '06 exist.
