so the question is, can Tosh keep up with Jump, seeing chapter 1 and 2 deliver with quality art
i hope the quality would not drop anytime soon.

Vladrave 2012-12-06 03:21

At this point, I'm more worried about the writer. :heh:
tosh's superb artwork is carrying the series' weight quite a bit so far.

I think chapter 2 was a good improvement over the 1st chapter, can it go two straight chapters without ecchi? I kind of doubt it. :D

Vladrave 2012-12-06 07:05

Damn. She's beautiful and all but she's a bitch.

kenjtr 2012-12-06 08:20

Spoiler:

I never expected this manga to become this fun!! And totally agree, Soma is a complete badass.

Vladrave 2012-12-13 18:34

Oh shit! This manga is really worth looking forward to!
I need chapter 4 now!

Erina is probably one of the best tsunderes out there lol

Freeter 2012-12-13 21:59

I can already see this becoming an anime.

Please Japan, don't let this one get cancelled. We need more awesome MCs like Soma.

I personally would have thought it early days for saying such a thing but I find myself agreeing after reading chapter 3, she's quite charming I'd have to say:D

The ending was pretty amusing, he got to Erina but she still denies him entrance and he's left dumbfounded.
Now whats he gonna do to get into school, looking forward to seeing whats to come.

Pardon my french but F*** YEAH, Souma was just Fing brilliant!:D:bow:

Some glorious words and hopefully backed by some glorious moments to come!

And also I'm with Claies here, really not sure on new girl. Sure couple of pages doesn't say much but atm can't say outlook looks good for her but that can change.

Mars Mode 2012-12-17 02:34

Now that was brilliant, magnificent, remarkable. Im liking this guy and this manga.

He was outstanding:hyper-^v^:

Vladrave 2012-12-17 03:08

^Pretty much this. Soma is just outstanding and i can't wait for him to beat those rich pansies :D

bloodyclaws 2012-12-17 03:13

just wow.. for a cooking manga, the art is just phenomenal. It really does give it that extra "omph" just like onepunch man.

The MC is completely badass. Such a treat. I cant wait to see what new dishes he comes up with and when he'll melt that tsundere :D. Manga followed for sure.

Terrestrial Dream 2012-12-17 03:36

His artwork looked very familiar so I had to check his older work, and it explains reactions.

This manga is enjoyable for now and has great potential, but I hope what happened to Yakitate does not happen in this manga.

Shadow5YA 2012-12-17 05:36

What, no foodgasm from Erina's grandfather?

Looks like you still have further to go, Souma!

Nightengale 2012-12-17 06:42

It's going to be ridiculously cliche, but I'm kinda anticipating the chapter when more bombs are dropped on the calibre of Souma's dad.

I'm also glad that the story isn't going to shy away from a more serious romance subplot, given that there are... many occasions where romantic elements in non-romcom stories stalk themselves to a crawl...

At least I hope so, based on the allusion from Daddy Souma.

Iron Maw 2012-12-17 09:10

"Food Mafia"? :heh:

Now I think have heard of everything. Souma's father is also simultaneously one of the greatest and worse dads ever. Giving a knife to three year-old? Seriously?! :twitch::heh:

I also agree with general sentiment toward this series. It's been awhile since I have enjoyed a Jump manga like this (or at least since Nurarihyon no Mago anyway.) Here's to hoping that doesn't catch Jump's epidemic cancellation disease.
