For those who are curious here is a translation of the contents of the pv taken from ANN:
Nonoka: Nice to meet you! I'm Nonoka Komiya. I look forward to working with you! Nonoka: After returning to this town after seven years, I'm connecting... My feelings, my memories, and everything that makes up me. Yuzuki: I'm Yuzuki Mizusaka! Nice to meet you! Yuzuki: I'm against that disk! Objection of disk!! Koharu: I'm Koharu Shiihara. Everyone, it's nice to meet you. If you're ever looking to purchase souvenirs, please come to the Shiihara Main Shop. The greeter girl is waiting for you. Ah, but that's me. Shione: I'm Shione Togawa. Nice to meet you. Shione: I'm waiting alone. Until that time comes... I keep believing. Noel: Everyone! Nice to meet you! I'm Noel! Noel was waiting here since so long ago! For Nonoka, for everyone! Nonoka: Memories of that winter. A single miracle in which the girls' wishes came true. From that day... From that time, this town's scenery... In this town's sky, the disk was always with us. **** After reading through the various posts and announcements I finally have got a little bit of an idea of what the story looks like it will be about. Essentially about ten years ago a spaceship of some sort (the huge disc UFO looking thing) appeared above a town and a blue haired young girl named Noel came out and interacted with some people her age. Apparently it was winter then. Shortly after one of the children had to move away to Tokyo as her father had a work transfer. The story begins when that child moves back to the town, and she is in her last year of Middle School. The UFO thing has remained there since she left, and the townsfolk have come to accept it's existence, to where it has come to be called "the town of the disc" and apparently the place has even become a bit of a tourist attraction as a result. The other characters in the story may or may not have also been present when Noel and the disc first appeared, but they are definitely in the same Middle School class. They include: a pair of twins - one of whom is extremely against the presence of the UFO above the town and has been fighting with her elder twin brother ever since; a childhood friend of the twins whose family runs a souvenir shop; and a classmate who is a very private type who wears headphones a lot and lives alone away from her parents (who may have been among the children present with the MC when Noel and the UFO first showed up). Noel is still present, of course, but she has not physically grown as have the children who met her when she first arrived. **** And the story goes from there ... though there are prolly other things going on for each of the charas. |
A few updates about the series proper:

PV3
Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) Looks like we have love triangle with guy not being protagonist. Oooh, I feel sorry for this new studio. They need some masterful writing (or at least something like Ano Hana) to get any sales from it. Since otaku of CTDCT won't buy anime where girls lust after male. |
Hmm ... I guess it could be a love triangle ... but from the summaries thus far I am not sure. Using this as a guide:
Cast Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) The girl who was arguing with the main character, whose name is Nonoka, was Yuzuki, one of the twins. (Her twin brother is Souta.) Thus far there have been no hints dropped about romantic feelings of Yuzuki for her twin brother Souta (or vice versa), but there have been dropped hints regarding Souta being interested in the "disk" floating above the city while Yuzuki is dead set against interest in it. So the interactions between everyone could also be seen in that light as well, even Yuzuki bringing in angry questions of whether or no Nonoka's interactions with Souta were romantically driven. Not saying they are, just saying that they could. In other words, not so sure we should pencil in the "love triangle with guy not being protagonist" as the main theme of the series. It could be an extra theme introduced, but from what little info that has been trickled out it does not seem so thus far. All guesses thus far, of course, hard to tell from pvs and snippets of info about the series proper. I do agree though that if they decide to incorporate the possible love triangle thingee that it could hinder sales (that or introducing drama like material) ... GochUsa and KinMosa sold well, for example ... unless the writing is so incredible it blows everyone out of the water - again, as Ano Hana did. Even so, the writer is certainly capable of excellent writing, so ... yeah, we will see! ^^ Edit: Here is a tl of the dialogue in PV3 Quote:

Crunchyroll will carry the stream under the title "Celestial Method".

Spoiler for plot:
|
Enjoyed the first episode. It is what it is, and I like what it is. Sweet voices and sweet magic. Relative newcomer Natsukawa Shiina (18) does a nice job as Nonoka, as Minase Inori (my featured seiyuu of last season) does as Noel. And Ishikawa Kaito is as pure as usual.
The first scenes were horribly animated, but things quickly settled down to acceptable with some nice touches. The first anime from a new studio, Studio 3Hz, founded by a producer from Production IG who helped found Kinema Citrus. I loved both the OP (by Larval Stage Planning) and the ED (by fhána). |
This may be the dark horse of the season for me.
This wasn't on my radar but the visuals are fantastic, the OP and ED are just incredible, the characterization is through the roof, the OST's are marvelous, and the VA's are top notch. The plot is also quite interesting. I am definitely following this. I'm impressed. Episode 1: 10/10 (definitely not less than that) This also completely made my day and refreshed my youthful spirits of enjoyment (sorry Hiki) after getting no Index III. |
The first episode doesn’t tell much about the plot as it is mainly the characters introduction episode.
From the first episode, look like the story will not focuses much on the romance. (Good!) It focuses more on SOL, mystery and fantasy element (plus a drama.) The art and animation are nice. There are some nice scenery throughout the first ep. For characters, Nonoka is cute. I can easily cheer for her. She and Noel are cute together. We also get to see other characters briefly. (I already liked that banner girl). The main drama probably comes from the fact that Nonoka moved away without telling her friends. The OST is also beautiful. Especially, the one playing when Nonoka was looking for Noel. This show feel like it is made by P.A. but it doesn’t. It also has similar feel to Ano Hana. 10/10 first episode, I will follow this. |
Not bad for the OP song. I'm guessing there's some foreshadowing from it with some minor parts. Noel's a funny girl so far, a bit clumsy but whatever.
It looks like there's already some drama and possibly misunderstanding too. Noel's curiosity might of gotten her a bit more than she can chew on. Well, I'm expecting some feels trip. Not too into it yet though but I think it's on the right track. |
A pretty nice opening episode. Lot of focus on introducing characters and mostly focusing in on Noel and Nonoka.
Can certainly get a feel for the drama that will erupt from Nonoka returning. Probably a good deal of resentment towards Nonoka for up and leaving, although not like she had much choice. I expect the story there was that her mother was sick and they had to move for the sake of getting her better medical care and well....that didn't turn out so well. Regardless of what Noel is exactly, that's some patience she had. Waiting for Nonoka to come back and then sitting around in her room during all that chaos. Nonoka kind of lacking peripheral vision it seems :heh:. Guess the starting issue will be reassembling her group of friends. Can agree on the Ano Hana comparison to some degrees. Supernatural little girl, friendships that have seriously drifted apart, etc. On a side note I'm impressed by the male friend of that group. Somehow he ended up in this tight little group with 4 other girls (not going to include Noel in there yet since no telling if she actually interacted with the others) :heh:. |
Colour me unimpressed for now. First episode had some funny moments with idea... but once they ended it imidetely fallen back on bland level. Characters doesn't seem leave stock territory and small drama didn't have much impact. I have to say in middle of episode I just went browse this forum and just let it play on background...
I will (probably) give it another episode and see, if I can find in it something I would enjoy. |
Ep 01
Well then - that was a pretty solid start for me. Not earth-shaking, but definitely a good job in setting the groundwork. It has lots of potential in my opinion. As others pointed out it was mostly introductory of the characters and touched upon the past primarily through Nonoka remembering bits and pieces through flashbacks - something which was handled pretty well, I thought. Overall very nice visuals and excellent BGM, good OP and ED (not great) and good story pacing and characters too. Insta-followed, with hopes that it will blossom further and further. :) |
hm, really had no idea what this series was about when starting episode 1.
The first time I started, I fastforwarded it to scan it, and thought it was gonna be boring. Then watched it for real. Ended up enjoying it. I'm a fan of child labor, so it was fun watching all the kids working and doing chores. Get that work ethnic started early. |

pretty good and enjoyable start , not earth shattering in any way but it still has its hooks so will be monitoring this..

Yeah that is some "Belief in friends" and patience right there,, waiting 7 years(?) alone in that abandoned observatory when Nonoka said "will be back right away." that's something. Contrast to the headphones girl who seem to harbor resentment towards the MC, & curiously "Banner Girl" didn't even seem to recognize her. and vice versa. oh well might be another case of anime child forgetfulness syndrome. |
