man, that blows :T
my package with the deathscythe and the kotobukiya ikaruga has left the sorting office at 9pm today, usually that means that it will arrive on the next day^^
i also hope that my gatling guns for the unicorn arrive soon. i SO want them!

i also ordered something completely different, the ZOID liger zero schneider. im really curious how that will turn out.

Have you ever put together a ZOIDS kit before? Also, what grade is it?

nope, itll be my first :P
i have no idea about kotobukiyas grades but they list it as a high master model.
i also took a look at the manual of the model that it is based on and it looks like it will be fairly easy to put together^^ im just really curious about it because it will be my first snap fit model that isnt humanoid!
this is the one i ordered by the way: http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYZD51

You're in for some interesting times. :D My first ZOID kit was the plain white Liger Zero back in early 2000 or so. ZOIDS kits are different from Gundam kits. There's a lot of highly intricate connections between the pieces, especially the limbs. But I digress: You'll understand for yourself when you start building. ;)

And High-Master Grade is sort of the midway point between an MG and PG.

they have to be different, especially since they arent humanoid^^
and yeah, i have seen the amount of detail and connections between the pieces when i looked through the manual of the regular high master liger zero. it looked really cool! i cant wait to build it^^

but hopefully i will start on my deathscythe hell EW tomorrow, i have been looking forward to that all week long!^^ especially since i want to paint some parts!

lucky you, if only i receive my package today.......sigh. anyway, about that Zoid, i sure haven't heard of them for quite sometime, i got 2 of them when i was still a kid :heh:, of course back than it's not really a model kit, it's just a battery run toy, lol. but they are already quite detail back then so it should be interesting to actually put together one by yourself, now if they could still run on battery, that would be cool :heh:

by the way, i finally finished the PG 00, all that left is sticker.
:heh:

its on the way now^^ however, there is no indication whether it will be delivered to me or to the customs office... but packages from HLJ always arrived at my place so far so i i hope they will do it again^^

and yeah i know! at first zoids were just toys but they turned them into anime shows and manga, mainly to sell even more toys of course ;D

Same thing, really. :p

Appel 2011-07-02 05:10

i agree^^ same thing, the color looks really really great with the nightingale!

skyboy928 2011-07-02 09:14

The Nightengale look pretty awesome now i wonder if there's a MG Nightengale. and since there is SD Nightengale so i wonder if they also have SD Hi-Nu:confused:

there are resin kits of a 1/100 nightingale. both from b-club and g-systems. but they are crazy expensive and the b-club one is discontinued, too...

my package arrived today^^ i painted all the parts of the deathscythe hell and started building the 1/144 ikaruga.
the ikaruga is a small nightmare to put together! many microscopically tiny parts and in contrary to the description on HLJ you actually do have to glue a few pieces with cement, otherwise they just wont stay in place. good thing i still had glue left over from my revell USS voyager, otherwise i would have had a problem XD

what kinda pissed me off though was that the post man wanted 20€ from me for customs fees >_> thats a lot...

edit: if you are interested, here is my finished 1/144 ikaruga:
http://www.abload.de/img/foto0832rnhh.jpg
oh man, that was really kinda hard XD many incredibly small parts that have to be glued and the finished model is extremely fragile. im REALLY scared that it will violently explode into a million pieces if i touch it the wrong way! :O

tomorrow i will start on my deathscythe hell.

it look pretty cool, but as soon as you mention glue........ that's why i love gundam so much, they did such a great job. since i'm totally impatience.
i hate to wait and wait and my mood would simply go away.

anyway, i guess i will have to pass on that nightingale for now, hopefully Bandai will release a MG in the future. sometime it really make you wonder how they make the decision on what to release next.

well yeah, regular glue sucks, thats true. however, to build models you use cement! this kind of glue melts the plastic and fuses the two pieces together. and because of that you dont need a lot and it dries very quickly!
usually i hate glue, too but this is actually pretty comfortable^^
it still was a pain in the ass though because the ikaruga has so many tiny parts XP it was still fun overall though.
i wonder how well the zoid will work...

but i will definitely stick to bandai in the future. their quality is simply the best!
