me too, but then you know bandai love wearing the ass-hat so much that you know they will just make RX78 V3.0 instead or something we don't give a damn about.... we will be lucky if they ever make 1/100 GN Archer or MG Virtue or 1/100 Gaia Gundam from GSeedD......

JC... 2010-04-22 10:21

Thanks for your tips about paint, Gamera.

One more question about extending very thin parts on Gunpla: how do you do?
I don't know how the plastic card can remain on the part with so little contact surface (on the edge of the fins!), like on this picture:

I really want MG 00 Raiser.........but I rather have it late than have it early but sucky, especially after Bandai bothched up the 1/100 one.

After the movie, they will be both MG 00 Raiser and MG 00 Qan[t] to be desired.

I dont think there's anough demand for it. And something like that will be super expensive with not enough people wanting to buy one.

--
I'm hoping they'd release a Real Grade 1/144 00 Raiser one day. I love the 1/144 scale and I love 00 Raiser, so a high premium quality version would be nice for me personally.

By the way, have these been posted yet?:

Spoiler for HG 1/144 GN-001/hs-A01D Gundam Exia Avalanche Dash:

Spoiler for HG 1/144 CB-001.5 1.5 Gundam:

Credit goes to Homeless for the Avalanche pics and SRW for the 1.5 Gundam one.

JC... 2010-04-22 15:16

lol I was kinda joking about the MS Carrier... I really think gunpla lines should include things like tanks and other vehicles and stuff like that, Like the Zaku ground war set.

Spoiler for HG 1/144 GNY-001F Gundam Astraea Type F manual:

Oh, and since its slightly merited in this topic, here's a pic of the HG Astraea F manual, shows some official pose for Astraea F.

Pic credit goes to Homeless and Hobbysearch.

-GN Hammer is a new weapon for the new Astraea-F from 00I sidestory.

-The NGN Bazooka [NGN Acronym for "Non GN"] is the name of the optional weapons used by the GN-X III and Aheads at the end of S2 and are also canon compatible with their HG kits.

-GN Pistols is also canon compatible with HG Dynames [crap, I bought GN Arms-D already]

-GN Hand Missile is optional equipment for Kyrios, is of course also canon compatible with HG Kyrios.

Others are Astraea's normal weapons. Wow, Bandai sure is being grateful in this release huh?

Well in terms of difficulty being the easy one. I would go for the Freedom. That one is pretty basic. I'd say go for the Red Frame last on your list being that you just finished the Blue Frame, only difference is shoulders, and extra weapons, you would be repeating yourself if you got the Red Frame. But if you built a Blue Frame the list above should be a snap for you. So from 1 to 5. 1 being the easiest.

1. Freedom
2. Strike E IWSP
3. Destiny
4. Strike Freedom
5. Red Frame

Still waiting for a 1/100 00 Seven Swords =[

Also, my friend was asking me whether it would be smart to apply just a topcoat to a model kit that hasn't been painted. He doesn't have the time/luxury to paint his kits, and so he just panel lines it, but he also wants to get rid of the plastic look/feel to them. Therefore, can this be done by applying just a topcoat to the model kit, and how effective is it to do that?

Furthermore, is there any other ways to reduce the plastic look/feel of model kits without painting them?

Thanks in advance.

DC23 2010-04-22 23:16

Yeah a 1/100 seven swords would be great...much more if it is an MG! ;)

You are right, applying a flat top coat will give it a painted look as long as you remove the seam lines and sand the nub marks. Apply decals ( water slide ) first and apply flat topcoat...practice on an SD, you'll be amazed with the results. :D

X207 2010-04-23 00:48

im waiting for a larger scale gaddess. id like a MG gaddess (if it ever came out) but i'd settle for a 1/100.

MoonLightShadows 2010-04-23 01:31

A 1/100 Gaddess would be my favorite. I wouldnt mind 1/100 throne gundams..though that might not happen.. :p

Done with regular styrene glue. The glue melts the plastic so it essentially welds together with the part. You should be able to find all sorts of shapes and sizes for plastic at your local hobby shop. Glue the plastic to the part, use a clamping device like a clothes pin or those paper clip thingys, and let it set up. A day later, sand the residual plastic ooze that comes out form the glue's welding process. Just take care sanding as it's a very delicate part when it's so thin.
