They're all good. Kaori Mizuhashi playing a shy girl and Chiwa Saito playing a genki girl are the surprises for me this season.

Kaori Mizuhashi's character (Sanehara Hikari) is not really a shy girl. Her characteristic is more of a quiet, cool, cynical person. One of her focused manga has just finished days ago, you can read the online manga here.

Kuudere huh? I first knew her as tsundere Minami Shimada (but I was shocked to know that she actually voiced the Great Evil Overlord LAHARL!). But still, she surprises me for playing a different role from what I know about her.

And yeah, I agree. MC looks definitely badass in that anime PV, you can just see the confidence on his face.

Photo Kano Kiss article on the latest Dengeki magazine shows the character design of the MC and 6 main girls for the anime. I haven't found the HQ yet though :heh:

Yeah, kuudere seems right. If we generalize them on the common type of character, Haruka is the everyone's favorite girl, Aki is the strict righteous type, Mai is innocent type, Hikari's a kuudere, Nonoka the energetic tomboy, and Rina is classy but dojikko :heh:

Hope he'll put his camera to good use and do some panchira shots :D

Besides that, hope they don't ruin it by doing that omnibus nonsense.

There's also will be "TV Anime Photo Kano Housou Chokuzen Event ~Photo Bu? Sasshin Bu? Docchi Hairu no?~" event held on March 17th, with some of the seiyuus coming: Nobunaga Shimazaki, Kanae Itou, Mariya Ise, Kaori Mizuhashi, Oogame Asuka, and Shiraishi Minoru.

The title of this event refer to the game mechanism, in which we can choose to join Photo Club or Photography Club. Depending on the club we choose, the story for the 6 main girls will be different (3 secret heroines only have 1 story).


And there will be also Photo Kano Love Love Fair event on April 30th.

I wasn't sure whether to watch this, but with this kind of voice cast, I guess I'll have to.

Tomoe is actually listed as main character on the official site, but yeah she is not the default 6 heroines but one of three hidden heroines along with Kanon and Momoko. Those two were listed as sub-characters though.

And aside from those 9 selectable heroines, there are 2 more girls which have their own story and ending, Narita Ruu and Uchida Yuuko.

I can't translate 'em all but some interesting parts:
- The casts were recording their line individually for the game, but now they do it together on the anime so some casts are surprised to see how the other characters speak/act.
- Nobunaga (MC's CV) likes Nonoka the most when he played the game.
- Some casts interested in Kudou and how amazing Hikaru Midorikawa voices him. Kanae Itou surprised and interested on all the Photography Club members, especially Azuma (she said, "Even though I don't really want to know, but I want to know) :heh:
- First episode introduces all the characters, both the heroines and the supporting characters from both club.

Even though it looks like it's not going to be omnibus on the get go like Amagami SS, but there's a chance this will be like Yosuga no Sora where first few episodes are act as 'common route'/introduction :heh:

At this point, I just prepare for the worst case scenario that this will be 1 cour, Haruka route with some scenes of other heroines added in between :heh: Just out of curiosity, anyone know back then when Amagami SS was announced, were they promote it as omnibus from the start? And tomorrow night there will be Photo Kano anime event, so I assume we will finally get to see the PV online short time after that.

How much will this anime focus on the technical aspects of photography?

Based on the game, it's really, really not that much. Sanehara Hikari route has the most dialogues about technicality of photography and camera though, since she's a member of Photo Club before the MC joins so she teaches MC more about photography and camera, on other routes MC ver rarely talk about camera or photography. I hardly get understand the dialogue when they're talking about this so I don't understand if they're talking about beginner or advance stuff :heh: At one point though, Hikari teaches the MC to do bulb photography.


By the way, it's confirmed on TBS site that it's only 12 episodes long :(

More than likely we'll have a Clannad style super-route where each heroine will have her own mini-arc but the relationships will stay platonic until the final arc where the flagship/"main" heroine (which I'm assuming is Haruka) gets the spotlight.

Not a plot spoiler, but just in case.

Z-Cune Aoi is the absolute best thing you could get compare it to to get my attention. I love shows within a show, and while I don't think this one will be as plot important as Aoi (or even Magical Domiko), if it's in the anime at all, I will focus on it unnecessarily and analyze it to see what kind of show it might be if it were an actual anime. I'm interested in the rest of the anime, too, but this is just a sweet bonus. Aoi, Meruru, and Pretty Rabbit all lie ahead in April. It's gonna be a good season.
