Eroge + TNK = No more please.

I'll check up first episode when comes out... as of now, art (game's) looks good.

cyth 2008-06-18 15:40

Too bad they will most likely be using the PS2 cast. No miru. :(

Newprimus 2008-06-18 15:46

What!? For real!? Interesting. If this game gets animated then I wonder if any other will be done the same?

MeganeShounen 2008-06-18 21:20

From what I've heard, I wonder if this will be a mix of School Days, Princess Princess and... probably Myself;Yourself?

There's no Wiki entry for it, so I'm in the dark regarding the story... game art looks great though. Wasn't the artist Ryohka or someone else?

Plot:

One day, Junichi's fiancee, Yuhi, suddenly moves to his high school, but they have a quarrel on the day they first meet.... Their parents discuss and order them to go out together once a month to restore their relationship. And if they can't do that, their engagement will be cancelled. Their school life starts and various accidents happen.... What will happen to them in the end...?

Because feng/GoodNavigate apparently made the effort to assemble an all-star seiyuu cast for the PS2 game, a number of fans in Japan believe that Akaneiro ni Somarusaka Parallel will be made into an anime, featuring the same seven voice actresses playing the same seven heroines.

And they were right.

Since I wrote those posts over three and a half months ago, they have added four more characters and their voice actors to the game.

Expect the voice actors from the PS2 game rather than from the PC ero-game, more or less, to reprise their roles in the anime.

The existence of the ongoing Akaneiro ni Somarusaka Web Radio Show, hosted by Koyama Rikiya (Sugishita Seijirou role) and Hirohashi Ryou (Shiraishi Nagomi role) strongly suggests that the PS2 game cast, not the PC eroge cast, will pretty much be the anime cast.

Ahh... So this is the name of the game where all those CG images that I've been getting comes from... :heh:

The synopsis is nothing outstanding to be honest, but the character design and VAs on the other hand is a complete win :D !

I mean, Kugimiya Rie, Tanaka Rie and Hirano Aya, together :eyespin: ?!

(Wonder which VA they're pick for the male lead...)

Agreed~ those VAs alone are worth the watch.

Nonetheless, the story sounds interesting and the characters has a nice appeal to them. Cant wait to watch this one :)

As much as I sort of had the same thought (same director and writer as the School Days anime), I also think that, having played the game, it should be a fairly straightforward conversion. The game is, after all, structured like an anime already (with episodes, teasers, OP, eyecatches, and next episode previews), and the canon route (with a few things mixed in from other routes for good measure) is a pretty good standalone story that makes pretty use of the entire cast. It also has the benefit of giving major roles to the characters with the big name voice actresses, which makes it even more likely, I think. So, I'm not too worried about it. I'm pretty confident that this should make a decent anime, and am looking forward to it.

What kind of story does the game have, is it likely to have people wielding machetes at the end, or is it more laid-back, slice-of-life/romance like Lamune? If it's the latter, I'll definitely be looking forward to it...

Thanks for all the info--a good voice cast, could be interesting.

Definitely not machete-wielding, that's for sure! :heh: But I wouldn't necessarily say it's "slice-of-life" either. If I were going for a description in 10 words or less, I would say it's a "fun high-school tsundere romance with a dash of drama". It's more or less the story of how Junichi's fateful encounter with Yuuhi (the tsundere princess-type betrothed to be his future wife) turned his high school life upside-down. Some parts romantic comedy, some parts tsundere hijinks, some parts love triangle, and some parts family drama.

Edit: Regarding the official website, I'd really like to have a word with their incompetent web designer. No, your 784 x 1149 pixel JPEG really does not need 1.36 MB to do it justice... :heh: That being said, I like the look -- it's a good adaptation of the game's art, I think.

Sounds like something I'll be looking forward to then, thanks for the insight into the game! I agree the character designs look good, although haven't played the game so I don't have a frame of reference there...and the 1.36MB JPEG explains why that page takes longer than I would expect to load... :heh:

Whoever it is... Man, are they still deciding who the guy's gonna be, or are they just trying to drag it out =_=

Well, they could potentially still be auditioning for it at this point, since it doesn't air 'till October. The rest of the voice cast was already decided because it's the same as those used for the PS2 game. Junichi is, obviously, unvoiced in the game, so it's basically the only voice they had yet to cast.
