The first edition of the radio show, with Takagaki Ayahi and Takamoto Megumi, appeared today. Here's the streaming link. This is the radio home page.

Aoi Hana is a drama all the way.

Sasameki Koto is a comedy with some drama thrown in.

Midonin 2009-09-30 16:32

You had me at "comedy".

Shiroth 2009-09-30 16:49

The comedy truly is gold in this series, and the quality drama balances the two our quite nicely.

That means you must hate nearly everything then, because 9 times out of 10 they have drama in it. Especially Bleach, which is your avatar and sig. :)

They're mostly 15 sec. commercial spots, but hey they're better than nothing!

Midonin 2009-10-05 13:56

Simulcast is confirmed.

Shiroth 2009-10-05 14:30

Brilliant news. :D

All the great shows this season are going to be on CR.

MeoTwister5 2009-10-07 00:07

Meh. Being on CR means the rest of us who's IP's aren't accepted for subscription aren't going to be able to watch.

Oppius 2009-10-07 02:16

What? It has been licensed? Man I was too late to join you guys.

From the screenshots, it seems it doesn't take place in an all-girl school as few guys can be seen in the background.

No one ever said it was set in an all girls school. :)

Here's a longer PV to indulge on in the mean time:

Episode one was pretty good, even if not at the level of Aoi Hana, for me. Charadesign and backgrounds look great. And the story is developing.

But all I could see -- or I mean hear -- was Takagaki Ayahi's voice as Sumi. That immediacy and suppressed emotion just blew every other voice out of the water. Except for one: the library senpai -- who turned out to have been played by my other current shinjin favorite, Hayami Saori.

I didn't realize Hayamin would be here. So she and Ayahi are together in two shows this season: this show and Sora no Otoshimono, just switching who is the star and who is the supporting character.

Not that the other voices weren't good. Nice work from Takamoto Megumi and Katou Emiri. But Ayahi was amazing. Maybe even a bit too quietly intense.

I wish CR would sort out when they're gonna stream this.

You can find it on the site if you look around enough, along with an apology that they will have it ready in time for the regular broadcast next week. I suspect they are going through some growing pains with all the series they are currently handling.

More on topic, it seems like after having seen some or all of Aoi Hana they've decided to make this a little more "dramatic" than the manga source. It will be interesting to see if that continues past this episode. Not that there isn't drama and romance in this series, but I hope they don't forget the comedy that helped make this a nice alternate.

Would you mind sharing a link to said source please? :)

Assuming you're a member it's available at:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Sasameki_Koto

I presume this isn't too far off topic. :D
