Little Busters - Requests for new threads
 

Since the Little Busters forum is limited (only Mods and Admin can create new threads), this thread serves as a way to request a new thread to be created.

Please post here if you wish to request a new Little Busters thread. Please bear in mind that we will only accept reasonable requests, we wish to maintain the focus within the forum and cut down on the noise (so no pointless threads cluttering up the place).

Don't forget that you may still post in existing threads as usual, the only restriction is that you may not create new threads within this particular forum.

Manga, novel, and maybe even one for the radio. o:

I'd like to see threads for individual characters.

Do you think there will enough discussion to justify a separate thread for each of these? I'm at least wondering if a single thread for the Novel and Manga adaptations might be okay. The Radio show is a bit niche too...

I think it's a bit too soon yet because we're only getting to know the characters in the anime, so the threads would just be full of game players talking about spoilers. Maybe in a few weeks as we get to know people a bit more, I think.

One thread is fine with me, if it comes down to that.
There are plenty of materials out already. I have 5+ different manga adaptation and novels, and I bet there are more. I see TEA has translated a few chapters of the 4koma already, albeit long time ago and no updates since.
The radio has 19+ CDs out. I suppose it's a niche thing, but that's only because no one has bothered to sub it.

Could you post something in this thread that could be used as an opening post for the manga/novel adaptation thread that lists the various manga/novel adaptations?

For mangas, the English wiki has a nice description, and the Japanese wiki has a good list.
The most notable ones:
the main adaptations that follow pretty closely to the original game story: "Little Busters!" (Anagura Mogura) for LB, and "Little Busters! Ecstasy" (ZEN) for LBEX;
and the main 4komas: "Little Busters! The 4koma" and "Little Busters! EX The 4koma" (Sasagiri Yuuya).

For novels/short stories, there were short stories published with each chapter of the 4koma dengekiG. These follows the game story closely.
There's also LB SSS (Shuffle Short Stories), a collection of random short stories by various writers using LB's characters and setting.
The short story portrayed in the ED is from LB's Perfect Visual Book.
Wiki lists others, but I don't have those.

For radio, Natsume Brothers started in 2008, with hosts Tamiyasu (Rin) and Midorikawa (Kyousuke). Suzuta (Kud) joined the show and it was renamed to Natsume Brothers (21), for obvious reasons. :p
The whole radio series ran for 171 sessions, not counting the special they released with LB Converted Edition and radio CD specials, and ended last Oct. One of the most entertaining radio shows I've listened to.
Now it starts again as Little Busters! R, with the same hosts, but Tamiyasu's name is written differently, and Suzuta is now Wakabayashi, a fact they seem to openly ignore, but the show's atmosphere seems to be the same as before.

The fanfic thread is a go, but let's wait on the genderbending thread for a bit. :D

A thread that contains videos, typically music videos (AMVs). Most subforums have them.

I don't see a thread for the OVA yet? It should be available some time soon.

I don't think it will be available for a while yet. The way this works is that all the people who purchased all 9 volumes have to submit a form by mail along with the proof of purchases for all 9 volumes. And then, at some point after it's received and verified (and the OVA is ready to ship), Warner will send out the discs by mail. Just for normal process alone, you should allow a few weeks. The normal turnaround time for this sort of thing is actually a few months, because they usually wait to get all the cards in, print the number of discs they need, and then mail them out.

So all that to say, we'll have to wait until someone actually reports receiving it, I think.

Well nonetheless, I'd like to request an OVA discussion thread. Just so we can keep track of it for the time being.

I'm going to wait until the episode actually surfaces to create a new thread for it. In the meantime, the General Anime Discussion thread could be used.

Requesting Little Busters ~Refrain~ Episode 2 thread.

Simply because a thread isn't up doesn't mean we are deliberately ignoring it for sake or "preventing opinions" or anything (which is a ludicrous idea to begin with). It is a rare occurence, and LB is arguably not the first series where there is some ep thread mishaps. While it is an unfortunate instance that we try to avoid whenever possible, it would be pretty considerate to be patient and report the matter instead of accusing us for that kind of stuff.

Bear in mind that the fact some mods are online doesn't mean they are at home or anything. I for one got back home and dinner like... 5 min ago.

It's funny to see how people can get impatient at times. :heh:

There are some minor characters aside from this, but I think they're generally only relevant for a lone route, or maybe a couple episodes in total. I'm also not sure if Mio's Genki Girl alter-ego Midori should count. Even now, we have 13 characters and 3 pets. So I'm not sure how many minor characters it would be good to add.

There's also A-chan (former female dorm manager) and Mutsumi Suginami (the one who confesed to Riki).

I honestly don't remember A-Chan well, but good point on Mutsumi. She didn't have much screen-time, but her one big moment was a great one. I could see some people voting for her. So yeah, she should be there too. :)

Well, Rin does love her cats, and Lennon was the most important one. Lennon was also an important tool of Kyousuke. ;)

Strelka and Belka followed Kud around a lot.

If you're including them you should merge them as one instead of two separate entries.
