Just PM it

Fireminer is Vietnamese so there's that

Fireminer 2014-03-19 10:58

Pah! It's so hard not to blow a hole to my wallet. Gunpla is so expensive in Vietnam.

Gezz, how much? Here in south america a bandai original one is at least a 200% more expensive (and that if you can find a online store that sells cheap), and normally there are at 300-400% more expensive. Stupid customs taxes don't make sense.

Case in quote, the HG 1/144 WZC EW

-Last time I checked into HLJ: 16$
-Here: Over 50$

Holy crap, and I thought my local hobby store mark ups were bad >_>

(well to be fair, the HG store prices are actually quite decent, the MGs though are usually at least 15 USD up)

Providenceangle 2014-03-19 12:44

At least you can buy local... I'd have to go 3 hours out of my way, just to get to a local shop, to get that roughly 20% markup lol.

ZeroXSEED 2014-03-19 19:11

> mfw local hobby shop sell gunpla for 140% tag at worst, 110% at best
> mfw online stores sell at 120% tag on average

Feels good being Southeast Asian :p

RG Strike Freedom here is 33$, but since the shop is in Ho Chi Minh city, so I've to pay the shipping fee, too.

Galaxian 2014-03-19 19:49

I usually wait for the random price cuts in Amazon to buy Gunpla. Got Kampfer Amazing for $23.

Strigon 13 2014-03-19 19:55

Dirty asians and their dirty cheap gunpla prices... joking :p

But really, having to pay more than twice the price of a gunpla in customs taxes is just... armed robbery.

Well, at least shipping fees here are dirty cheap.

Wild Goose 2014-03-19 20:41

I have found a local hobby store in Times Square called Gamers Arena. Prices are actually pretty competitive with the online retailer I'd been going to, but they charge higher for shipping...

...which is not a problem, because opposite Times Square in Low Yat Plaza, and next month I'm going there to buy new RAM to upgrade my computer. XD So on my way back from buying RAM (and maybe a new hard drive), I'll stop by the place and buy Gunpla with cold hard cash.

I'll get that kit, but it'll need some work. It's based off the HG00 Exia kit, so that means most of the joint parts will be ABS plastic.

Wish they made an Amazing Exia kit, too. Would be nice if I could turn it into this:

^ LOL that’s smart :D. Now that makes me wonder if they’re influenced by Kamen Rider Ozu Tajador when they make Dark Matter.

So... according to that box art, the Exia Dark Matter has elemental properties for its swords?

This was mentioned in the original blurb for Dark matter when it was revealed.

So let's see... the antenna on the head drops down like Dynames... The Dark Matters' wings are actually swords... And the Dark Matter Booster is actually the GN Drive... So if that thing comes off, what propulsion does Exia use to fly...?

And I see the kept its original GN Drive... Using GN[T] Drives would have been more fitting...

ZeroXSEED 2014-03-20 15:20

Seems to be a GN condenser or somesuch.

Bonta Kun 2014-03-20 16:02

Got my MG Gundam X now......but I'm in the process of moving house(who in their right mind would buy gunpla while in the middle of moving house, honestly...)so won't be able to build it for abit, it is however next on my list as I really want to build that bad boy.

Well... if you see the image, there isn't anything that can output any GN Particles O.o;;

Well this is a kit, so guess we should wait till next week until how it fights.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I've been putting off building my kits for a while now after moving, because we don't have a place for everything yet. It's better to move them around in boxes, than as individual kits. They're begging to be (re)built though:heh:
