New series-Gundam 00(double o) looks quite interesting. Finally, something new! here's a pic of the gundam you (will see/saw ) in the small trailer. Name of gundam is Gundam Excia
Spoiler for Gundam Excia:
Personally, i do like the idea of ditching the beam rifle for more swords. Well, in this form that is... |

Well, they are planning on releasing a 1/144 model of the Excia in September, before the show even airs...

It better not be a no grade :heh: |
The first model to come out is always a no grade tho, this has been the way for (almost?) all mech since seed =b Dunno if the tradition actually goes back further tho.

For the Seed series, the first model's were usually the 1/100's no? They are no grade too so.....:heh: |

Spray help
Hi people,
I've been collecting gundam models for around a year now and now I've finally decided to spray one. I've got the Strike Freedom MG, with the babypoo joints ; ( I want to spray it gold but I'm not sure of the best way to do this. I've currently got SF built like this http://dalong.net/review/mg/m97s/p/m97s_18.jpg (minus the bling) Should I just spray it with gold paint like this, would it work? Or should I seperate them and just spray these bits: http://dalong.net/review/mg/m97s/p/m97s_23.jpg which I assume are meant to be the shown gold parts. I've read that when spraying them it gets quite thick and so it becomes hard to attatch the other others pieces onto it, is this a big problem? I look forward to your replies. |

I'm working on my MG strike freedom and near completion. I did spray paint the gold with a gold paint. I spray all the gold frames befor they were assembled. One disadvantage is that when you cut off the parts, you'd expose the inner gold. If you have already assembled, you might just separate the exterior part and spray paint the interior gold. The it would cover all the edges that was ugly. My experience is that the gold spray doesn't make it thick. It's the kit itself that's tight. I got parts where spray or no spray, loose or tight. So in my opinion, I dont think the spray is of large issue. |
Hi just got started modelling gundams, have done 1/100 Deathscythe + D/Hell and Wing Zero to practice. Now I want something a bit more complex, And i wanted to know which everyone thought was better Strike Freedom MG or Wing Zero MG? Or should i save and buy PG Wing Zero or Freedom Lightning edition?
Going to try my hand at inking this afternoon and painting when i can afford an airbrush. |
