Seriously, how are the HG 1/144 series? I already pre-ordered the trans-am 00 Raiser, but it's practically my first 1/44 model kit since 10 years ago when I first bought the 1/44 Epyon. Boy, was it shitty. It was so flimsy, loose, and crap. I totally regret buying it. Based on everyone who owns the current 1/144 HG series, how are they in terms of build quality, poseability, and sturdiness? Thanks.

Building Quality ✓✓✓✓ - they're easy to build, don't take a long time, and look great unpainted. If you want them to look special, panel line. Extra special? Paint them. Not hard.

Posability ✓✓✓✓ - with the 00 series HG 1/144s, you can duplicate basically any pose from the anime, if not more.

Sturdiness ✓✓✓✓✓ - pieces don't fall apart, the model itself can stand without tipping.

The 00 1/144 HG series is really good. But if you are looking for all the accessories of some gundams(ex.dynamis pistols, 00 shields, beam parts for beam sabers) you may have to buy multiple kits. Articulation wise there top notch. Articulation doesnt get much better than the 00 raiser. Its on par if not better than most master grades. Its pretty sturdy too.

Yeah, the newer models, particularly the HG 1/144's, are greatly improved. I found this out myself as I was building my little Deathscythe after having built the Sword Impulse. The difference in quality is amazing. Newer models have better articulation, are more detailed, are made from better quality plastic, and I forget what else.....

Buy new HG! Buy eet! Buy eet!

Ohhh, current....well, I'd expect the quality of 00's models to be just as good, if not better, than that of Seed.
Don't have any 00 models yet, only interested in Arche and Susanoo.

LightningZERO 2009-03-25 02:17

I don't think you really need to paint or even do panel lining on Trans Am models. I think they look perfect that way

GN0010 Nosferatu 2009-03-25 03:29

I wonder what would be the better 00 Damashii exclusive.

The Advanceed GNX or the Exia Repair?

I say Exia Repair cause I can feel it's presence...it'll be coming, and soon.
