I wonder how far it's going to go into the series.

I think that depends on when they air it. Summer and it should be pretty obvious if you're a manga reader, just expect a few filler episodes and some padding. Fall and.. guess it depends on how long the current events in the manga go and whether that has a suitable ending.

It's a good thing there's going to be another season of this. Did the DVD sales do well? Or was it planned beforehand?

I think this thread should be merged with the other thread when the anime starts airing, though.

Shouldn't Sora no Otoshimono just get its own sub-forum? The original thread is 800+ posts, doesn't that reach the criteria for subforum creation?

It has 800+ posts after the anime finished airing, and a series needs at least 1,000+ posts to get a sub-forum before the anime finishes airing. I think if it can get over 1,000 posts by the 3-4th episode, it can easily get a sub-forum.

I think having the thread viewed at least 100,000 times counts as well, right?

I remember DtB had over 1,000 posts before the 2nd episode even aired. :heh:

We don't base sub forum creation on post count. If that were true, there would be a rather large amount of series with them, and a few that currently exist that wouldn't have received one.

Yeah i was a day late after the actual announcement i think..but kinda surprised that no one (especially you) actually open the thread. :heh:

At first i too thought that maybe we gonna use the same old thread,but because i remembered that Nogizaka Haruka had its 2nd thread for the 2nd season,so i guess it isn't wrong to open a 2nd thread too for Sora No Otoshimono.

It was planned before hand i think.And i don't really think they decide this whole 2nd season thingy by looking at the DVD sales or reception.They gave alot of hints about the 2nd season from the 1st season,so i assume that it was already planned even before the 1st season started.

As for the thread merging,looking at the pattern of other threads for anime with more than 1 season,i guess it isn't necessary.

With the second season already confirmed, I would like more info about that unreleased DVD episode...

They're probably going to put the chapters they were going to use for the unreleased dvd episode into the proper timeline.. one of the major characters for the chapter that the ep was going to be based on mainline isn't even introduced yet.

That's counted as part of the first season, not the start of the second.

Astraea's VA is Kaori Fukuhara. despite the fact that my wish of Mariya Ise for Astraea got shot down, I am not really disappointed as Kaori voices these characters very well.

Yes, the description in that site suggests that episode 14 will be only the locker room story, which means the pool story will be integrated into the second season.

Of course, this is not official yet, only speculation. But makes sense to keep Astraea out of that episode, to introduce her properly later.

anyway it was to be expected that 2nd season will appear.... becouse of Astrea showing up on 1ending (her picture which was a big spoiler)
