MG GN-X looks pretty swell to me.

Hell, if I could, I'd buy it just for the Tau Drive.:D

to be honest the colour scheme is quite bland, only around 10 main runners which isn't a lot for a MG kit although the cheaper price probably justifies that

not bad for a grunt unit, but give me a zaku any day ;)

This has inspired me to ask, "what are some of the better MG Zaku kits out there?" There are just too many variations! :heh:

Delivery man came. 15 minutes too early because I requested delivery between 19 and 21 o'clock, but oh well.

PG 00 Raiser clear parts.

Going back to Holland next week. Being an exchange student in Japan has been an interesting experience, even though I mostly hung out with other foreigners. I will miss Japan.

There are alot of Zaku's and Variants out there but if your asking for the best MG Zaku kit then id have to say this one is one of my favorites.

But if you want something that looks like a Zaku, but different in shape then its either a Gouf, Gelgoog, Kaempfer, im probably missing some others. But the favorite has to goto the Gouf. This MG kit is another favorite that looks cool and a nice kit to build.

I wonder if we can get a shot at its internal frame?Does it have one?

It is nice to see its cockpit open however, thats never been seen previously.

Can't tell if there's any mechanical detail present but it still looks nice for a internal frame.

Ngee Khiong has couple more shots of its frame up that you might want to take a look at.

Bandai can make the orange sabers. And pretty darn nice ones at that too, from the HG Masurao's orange beam sabers. They just don't want to. >__>

Another review here. http://gunplarevenge.blog34.fc2.com/blog-entry-230.html
this one with LED

pumpkins 2010-01-30 02:59

so the LED is greenn.. ?

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-01-30 03:05

Shouldn't it be.....purple or something?

LoweGear 2010-01-30 03:10

No LED is provided for the MG GN-X, the modeller review in question is using the one from the MG Exia.

However, the MG GN-X apparently comes with a form that will allow you to order a Red LED unit from Bandai.

DarkWarrior 2010-01-30 03:11

Seems like the reviewer is using Exia's LED, hence the green.

The GN-X doesn't come with any LEDs, but you can order some from Bandai. I have no clue how people outside Japan are suppose to get one though..

Edit: Oops, too slow. :heh:

Hamachi 2010-01-30 16:20

Hmm... the MG GN-X looks less and less impressive now :(

What blasphemy is this I read?!:twitch:

:p

Sir Dearka 2010-01-30 17:25

Yup, different color scheme can do wonders. If it was the red-lanced Jinx III I'd call it a super MG :]

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-01-30 17:28

I like the gray take on the GN-X.

Too many MS these days are red.

Hamachi 2010-01-30 17:32

So how does HG GN-X compare with the MG counterpart? :D

Sir Dearka 2010-01-30 17:38

Always more details. Though I cannot help but notice that the 00 Master Grades somehow fail in my eyes to seem significantly improved in comparison with their lower-graded counterparts. Same was with Exia which just seemed too similat to the 1/100 No Grade. Most of my non-hobbyist friends did not see any difference between them at all at first glance. the MG Impulse is another story. the pgraxde in design and details was just terrific. I really wish they released a MG Dynames with all the gimmicks and better shades of green...

I kinda feel bad about seeing one of the best Gundam designs go to such a waste as not being properly upgraded to a full Master Grade glory.

I assume you mean the Dynames? But i would like to see that go into a MG with all its Bells and whistles as well, being that its probably the only one that i like out of the series. Lets just keep wishing. That day will come. :)

kakakka 2010-01-30 18:27

Eh, you're just not satisfied because Dynames wouldn't get MG treatment sooner.

I too feel bad about Dynames not getting MG treatment. But if the MG would just look like 1/100 NG counterpart if released sooner, I would rather Bandai not have it release until they got the motivation to make it better.

Yeah, I mean exactly that. i am just worried that with all this hype and crazy releases such as GN-X variants and multum newer mecha choices, BANDAI would just discard Dynames as a suit of a dead character - not worthy or popular enough to be released in MG...

I'd just grab it in whatever form they'd release the kit. It can be even as slight as it was with the Exia as long as it has less stickers and more elements...

kakakka 2010-01-30 18:42

Haha, I knew its just because of Dynames :)

I wouldn't buy if it's not better, tbh. I want my money's worth ><. Maybe that's why I was stuck with HG for the long time hahaha.
