Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de

Trigger's new series, an adaptation of Kota Nozomi's Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de, was just announced.

Artist is known for Hataraku Maou.

Synopsis:

In the original novel series' story, the five members of the literature club awakened with extraordinary powers half a year ago. Although the members expected to be thrown into a world of super-powered battles (inou-battle) at their school, their normal daily routine continued. No secret organizations bent on world destruction, no super-powered wars, no braves or demon kings.

However, the members still look forward to the possibilities of adventure, and continued to believe that with each day, they were getting ever closer to those days of fantasy. Their days of romantic comedy and battles with extraordinary powers begin!

Does anyone feel like this is going to be Kill la Kill but without some super serious plot? If it's going to be high-octane action comedy, it might work pretty well.

Edit: Some covers/pics. Also I found a korean fan translation of some pages. Yup, totally chuuni with a touch of Owain from Fire Emblem. =O

Yeah, the comedy is blend so far. It reminded me of D-Frag a bit with the whole powers stuff and student council/club/setting. I suppose this might have a plot that picks up later but I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Andou sets himself up for being crushed like this.

I am curious as to how the loli's power seems to allow teleportation. It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the description, unless you assume a greater degree of reality-warping than Andou gave her credit for.

I liked it, thought it was funny, and the cast chemistry good.
Hope it stays just fooling around daily adventures and doesn't go into actual battle drama.
