Subtitle Removal help.

I'm trying to create an animated gif.

I need to know how to remove the subtitles so I can have a cleaner looking animated gif.

I'm using VirtualDub 1.5.10

Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Either crop the video or use a raw source.

To crop: Video->Filters->Add->'Null transform' then select it and click on the cropping button in the bottom right.

As nooc said, either crop it, or use the raw. A raw would be the best choice, the crop can make the image look weird (you are cutting off part of the frame, after all). Another option, although not as good, is to open up each frame in an image editor and try to use the cloning stamp to remove the text. I've done this on a few occasions and had fairly good results, but you have to use a small brush and lots of imagination, and it takes a good deal of time.
