To Aru Series video Games
ASCII Media Works will be releasing two PSP games in the "To Aru" franchise in the first half of 2011.
Index PSP, a 3D Fighting Action game to be released on 27 January 2011. Railgun PSP, dubbed a "Girls Talk Adventure", to be released on 28 April 2011. The two games will be released in Limited Editions with Mikoto and Kuroko figma figures respectively. This thread is to discuss these two games. |
lol finally. :meh:
So, anyone else importing? :D |
Characters names confirmed for the game until now in accord to a magazine:
- Kamijou Touma - Index - Misaka Mikoto - Accelerator - Stiyl Magnus - Kanzaki Kaori - Tsuchimikado Motoharu - Misaka little sister Shirai Kuroko - Last Order - Sasha Kreuzhev - Itsuwa Maybe... but first I want to hear how good the game is. |
But... Why Last Order :heh: ? Every other character have some level of comabt ability/experience, even Index, but why would Last Order be a playable character in a fighting game :heh: ?

Maybe there is an option to unlock Index in Jhohann's pen mode once you finish the game.
|
Last Order probably summons armies of MISAKA... and ultimates with Accelerator.
That said, I hear whacking people with a plush bunny can be lethal. :uhoh: |
Support characters uh... I wonder which kind of support can they give.

Now I imagine Last Order would be a counter-heavy type. Block with bunny --> Thunderbolt --> ZOMG LEVEL 5 SUMMON?!

<insert opponent here> is too mesmerized to make a move! Last Order used Thunderbolt! It's not very effective... LO: "That's it! Come out, Accelerator as Misaka calls Misaka calls!" Last Order sent out Accelerator! *insert holy crap moments here. :D* |
More like nightmare fuel should be inserted. The slaugher will start soon :heh:.

Screenshots Spoiler for Toaru Majutsu no Index PSP:
Spoiler for Toaru Kagaku no Railgun PSP:
Railgun appears to be a straight-up visual novel. The graphics in Index look solid, the cell-shading is done well. I wonder how well the controls will work though. Also, I find it odd that Kuroko apparently isn't in the game. Considering that the plot appears to involve some type of terrorist (going by dialog in the screens) I would think that "Judgement desu no" would definitely be sent out on the job. |

Both, Itsuwa and Misha have been added in the website. Seriously those designs needs more style. Between the anime and the PSP and one has the hair and the eyes purple and the anime, brown =_=;;. |

... uh huh? Or was it me who was mistaken... |
I've preordered Railgun, I wasn't going to do it until I saw how good the figma was that came with it. Kuroko is awesome. <3
|
Anime based fighting game like this tend to be a hit or miss. I'm gonna try this though and hope it will be a fun game to play like Sunday vs Magazine game.
|
Hmm, this is a 180 degree switch of tone for both franchises.
Index was the slow and thoughtful one, Railgun was the fast and action packed one. Now its the other-way-round when adapted to Video Games. Fancy that. Pity that the action will be almost completely subdued considering how much "firepower" the leading ladies in Railgun pack. |
I hope the game will not be slow-paced..but hey, there's Misha as a playable character :heh: I guess I'll give this game a try.
|
Oh, so Kuroko is in the Index game. I WANNA SEE SCANS
