I just saw the list. I saw the HG Jesta Cannon and got super excited. Then I saw the MG Jesta directly below that and nearly got a heartattack! XD
And a HG Perfect Strike as well? Fuck. Yes! :D

HG Perfect Strike?!!:twitch:

It'd be a lot better if Bandai make "Perfect" parts for RG Strike. That'll sell like peanuts. Not another Strike HG with bad proportion and articulation :eyespin:.

Also, MG Jesta = Hotness ^^.

Agreed. Why revamp an old HG? Unless they're redoing it, which is highly unlikely.

HG Jesta Cannon is sweet! :D Hopefully we'll see it in episode 6.

As for MG Jesta - MG Base Jabber soon, anyone?

EDIT: Just realised - SD Delta Plus with Base Jabber?!

Also - I'm assuming Bandai is using the new mold from the M1 Astray for the Blue Frame. Let's hope we get a HG ARF Kai. :D Really want the MG but I can't afford it atm.

That'll be nice ;), but I doubt it. Astray Blue Frame 2nd L is basically the original Blue Frame with different head, shoulders, knees and feet + Tactical Arms. Most likely they're gonna re-use the old HG Blue Frame mold only with some changes I mentioned before.

Having the urge to get a Gunpla (Never having any Gundam figures before). However I have difficulty to pick the scale I want. (HG / HGUC or pre-assembled Robot Damashii / HCM Pro, MG & other superior grades are out of my question)

Can anyone specify the pros & cons for these 3 scales? Also, are Gunpla-exclusive tools required on building a HG model?

HG (Pros & Cons)
  • It’s cheap
  • Easy to build/assemble
  • Small (doesn’t need a lot of space)
  • Has more variation of MSs than any other Grades
  • Good enough articulation
  • It’s not too detailed (some little parts still need painting)
  • Body proportion is so – so

RD/HCM Pro (Pros & Cons)
  • EXPENSIVE
  • In most cases, smaller than HG (some HCM Pros are even smaller than RDs or vice versa)
  • No painting required (because it’s an Action Figure, not Model Kit/Gunpla)
  • No building/assembling required (because it’s an Action Figure, not Model Kit/Gunpla)
  • Nice proportion
  • Nice articulation
  • Nice details

MG (Pros & Cons)
  • Expensive (but worth the price)
  • Bigger than HG (MG is 1/100 while HG is 1/144 in scale)
  • Harder to build compared to HGs
  • Awesome details
  • Articulation and proportion are a lot better than HGs in most cases
  • Painting is not necessary.

To build HG Gunpla, you only need some sharp cutting tools (like cutters, files etc) and markers (using Gundam Markers is better). So, nothing too fancy ;).

EDIT: I just want to leave this here so that you don't get confused about size comparison

im glad that MG Jesta is coming out this spring so i can save the money to get it because I have been wanting to get the HG but something was telling me to hold off on it. Plus when i buy the MG Nu. Ver Ka, my gunpla budget will be depleted for a while lol.
but quick question has anyone here built the MG Turn A gundam. I just want to hear some other opinions about it on the forum.

Yep, soooo glad I held off buying the HG Jesta, can't wait to see the MG, should be kick ass!
Question is whether or not we'd see a MG Jesta cannon, I don't think we will but damn I would love to see it.

And also HG Ez-8, lol damn I thought we already had that since we had the MG, funny how you can miss these details.

Illsteir 2012-11-21 09:50

it seems that the MG Nu Gundam ver. Ka has a special gimmick

HG Perfect Strike maybe just a reboxing of HG Aile plus the FG Launcher and Sword..plus some connecting pieces.:heh:

I really don't like Destiny (thanks to the pilot), but I'll get the RG Destiny in a heartbeat.

I guess I'm the only one excited about the Ez-8...

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2012-11-21 10:01

@Illsteir: Nu Destroy Mode?

@casval: HG EZ8 is fine, but I prefer MG EZ8 ver.2.0 XD.

Zeydra 2012-11-21 11:07

The Destiny Gundam is getting a Real Grade? Well, that was certainly not something I was expecting next. Guess that rules out Providence for a Real Grade then, if they're already moving on to Destiny suits with the line. A bit of a shame, since having Freedom, Justice, and Providence all in the same scale on the same shelf in the same grade would have been great.

Disappointed on the Perfect Strike HG though, I was really hoping (and frankly, expecting) for them to release it in either a Master Grade or a Real Grade kit.

Chiu_fan 2012-11-21 11:23

A review of the RG Zeta Gundam is out! Damn it looks gorgeous and now I'm regretting not pre-ordering this guy from the start.

Great kit. Incredibly fun to build, no loose parts(as far as mine goes, dunno about others), plus it's very posable.

If you don't count Skygrasper, it seems they're doing 3 releases per series - 0079, Zeta, and SEED. If this is the case, hopefully the other 2 Destiny RGs will be Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. :D Would certainly go better together with the Destiny, than Providence with Freedom and Justice.

Super stoked about the MG Jesta.. Bandai made my day with the mentioning of that suit. But my wallet is crying. About the MG Nu 2.0 gimmick what is it? Bandai was going to announce it at the Gundam expo.

I believe as Obelisk ze Tormentor points out, something akin to Destroy Mode.

You can see parts of the armour opening up, most noticeable on the thigh and shoulder.

Un1ver5e 2012-11-21 20:54

Well, I suppose this was expected.
Spoiler for MG Age FX / MG Age 3:

But..but FINALLY we have a V 2.0! Hope it comes with its Perfect Strike arnaments.:D

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2012-11-21 21:04

MG Sinanju Stein:

MG Strike 2.0
: I already expected this since they animated Perfect Strike & release MG GAT-X Gundams

MG AGE-3 & AGE-FX: Just as planned :D.

~Destiny~ 2012-11-21 21:14

Just saw the post with Strike 2.0

It was definitely unexpected(seeing as how the old one is still pretty good), but now thinking about it, I guess it makes sense. The inner frames of the Duel/Blitz/Buster were more or less identical.

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2012-11-21 21:52

Yup, never thought that my expectation some time ago will be met ^_^:

Maybe this should’ve been posted in Gunpla Thread, but I’m curious. We know that Gundam anime is pretty much an add for the model kits, right? So what’s Sunrise & Bandai’s goal in adding Perfect Strike in SEED at a time like this? I mean, considering we already got Launcher/Sword Strike in FG, NG, MG & RG forms, what will Bandai do to give us the actual Perfect Strike? We know the combined Launcher/Sword/Aile pack doesn’t make the actual Perfect Strike. So, will they give us additional parts for the already existing Launcher/Sword Strike kits, or will they make a brand new kit in the future? New Strike MG perhaps? (Personally, I hope it’s the latter coz I really really want MG Strike to be overhauled. It already looks outdated and dorky even compared to MG Strike E).

maknaedik 2012-11-21 23:47

When was the MG Sword and Launcher pack got released? I think they are still pretty good and will fit in MG Seed 2.0. Aile pack needs a bit of upgrade, IMO.

I've got an RG Strike Rouge and I think MG Strike Rouge Remaster will get a release as well, even though it's kinda redundant, I'd still buy it if it ever comes out.

I think they're going to continue in releasing two MGs per month like what they did last Summer. Having a regular release + an Age MG. Question is, where's my MG Double Bullet and MG Orbital?!

Edit: I suddenly remembered reading a comment somwhere, in GG's FB page perhaps, that Strike are getting many releases and UC deserve some love. However, 3 MGs release will come from UC: Jesta, Sinanju Stein and ReZEL Type C [GR] (let's add in Nu ver KA). So what the heck is he saying? :P

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2012-11-22 00:25

Imo the original Aile Pack is already good enough. Then again, Bandai might update it with this MG Strike 2.0 release and adding the ability to be connected to Launcher & Sword to make Perfect Strike.

Btw, it just occurred to me, with MG Strike getting a 2.0 treatment, will they also make MG Freedom 2.0? :uhoh:

Zeydra 2012-11-22 03:17

A new Strike eh. Great. I was hoping that would get a new release, the old release may be a good kit, but from comparison images with it standing next to the other GAT Gundams it does show it's age.

Akyra 2012-11-22 03:36

Lol...damn you Bandai!...I am suppose to save!

MG those druggie suits and I'll buy all your GAT-X suits in one go!!

firefox 2012-11-22 03:45

Not another strike.....:upset:

It's not that i do not like strike, i love strike, i have like 10 strikes:
the PG aile strike, the PG aile strike rough, the normal MG aile strike , the MG strike rough, the MG sword/launcher strike, the 1/100 MG strike noir, the HG 1/100 Sword strike, the 1/100 launcher strike, the 1/100 Gale strike, the 1/144 RG aile strike, the RD aile strike...probably still forgot one...

So allthough i love all strikes, i am not waiting at this moment for another one...

Big chance of a MG freedom gundam 2.0 end of 2013, mark it down.

RG destiny gundam was exspected, but not so soon.

MG Jesta i will love, finaly another mass production MG suit , yes!!!:D

MG FX gundam, also a shure bet, MG AGE-3 is a surprise, neevr thaught it would get MGed as it was very mediocre in the series.

the rest are unimportant

From left to right:
Real Grade->HG->Non-scale GFF->Super HCM Pro->Robot Damashii->Humable->GFF 1/144

I like to add that HCM Pro's are 1/200 scale and not 1/144 (except the 5 super HCM pro's), they are quite smaller then RD's which are not scale accurate but hover around 1/144.
Also for HCM pro you do need to snap togheter some parts (mostly weapons) of the figure as they come in a tray like a model kit, but this si very easy.
HCM pro despite it's size is alot more detailled then RD.

I like to add that in HG you have 1/144 and 1/100 (although they like to call the 1/100 NO grade).
For me a 1/100 HG/NG from seed or 00 gundam are the best kits to start building, as they are all mentioned above, require just a little pannellining.

Strikes aren’t “Rough” they are “smooth”. :D
Btw, the correct name is Strike Rouge as in "red" ^_^.

Jokes aside, I think MG Strike 2.0 is a preparation for the Perfect Strike. So, until that package come out, you can save your money (if you still want yet another Strike ^^).

MG Sinanju Stein?!?! I must admit, that is a complete shocker.

As for MG Strike 2.0 - I do hope they repackage it as the Perfect Strike rather than the Aile, and give us optional parts for the Aile/Sword/Launcher.
