Since you’re asking for a “surprise”, in that context I’d like to see Bandai do the Trio Gundam some service by releasing them on RGs. Th HGs of ‘em are pretty crappy. The only decent one is Calamity. Raider is a pain-in-the-ass with its many loose parts and the weak ankle. Forbidden is nice but the shield-cloak looks lame, and don’t even ask me about the scythe.

Your RG Mk.II is real nice, btw. It's good to see you don't put on the decals yet. I personally think those decals are overkill. I will only put decals on the shoulders if I were you ;).

RG Exia, Wing or Impulse. Candidates for the next UC would be ZZ or Hyaku Shiki but both would be go through the 2500 yen price tag RGs are being marketed at. Unless they go with the weirder Zeta era designs.

They seem to be alternating SEED and UC with the RG line, fingers crossed the Zeta's going to be next! :D Could be a surprise, though, like the Justice - I was expecting a RG SF instead.

Plus one for Zeta, likely the first RG "partsformer".

suiton629 2012-06-21 06:46

Or maybe some MG's..?
Exia R2, Genoace Custom, G-Exes, G Bouncer...

Would be pretty amazing if they manage to pull off a proper transformation, though. Maybe that's what's holding Bandai back from the Zeta.

An RG Zeta is going to a very tricky kit to execute. The RG line's gimmick is that it has MG quality mechanics at 1/144 scale, and yet an RG Zeta having an MG-esque perfect transformation will result in lots of tiny, fragile joints and parts. And I don't imagine then cheating an RG Zeta with swap-out replacement parts like they do with HGUC's. I'm now curious in how they'll manage such a feat, if they ever get around to doing so :heh:

duotiga 2012-06-21 07:45

Actually RG Zeta is deem possible if you look as miniature of MG Zeta ver 2, just that the body frame would be prefixed for you in the RG frame itself & attach the external frame . The transformation at the waist part would be the challenging 1 as need to split the legs up to mobile armour mode

done...but then RG without the decal is like naked....

or shld i do the G defensor? =x

Looks good, duotiga! Lots of channels for panel lines, which, IMO, is one of the most fun parts of doing up a kit for me. :heh:

Wonder how long it'll take Bandai to announce the next RG, with the Justice coming out next month. I have a question - is the RG Freedom's frame solid and stable (like the MkII, as duotiga mentioned), given how fragile the frame for the RX-78 was? I mean, Justice will probably be my first RG and since it is probably using the same frame, I'm interested to know.

duotiga 2012-06-21 10:33

RG Freedom frame is a slight improvement of RG Aile Strike but the wings are heavy & tend sway backwards but overall feel is better than MG Freedom as the waist area is quite solid.
Being given fixed manipulators hand is not an issue anymore.

Mk2 is my 4th RG done being 1st is aile strike, followed by freedom , mass production Zaku II & now this.

The fixed manipulator for the right hand to hold the beam rifle is very firm

Exia_00 2012-06-21 12:02

^ oh right i get it now, i might just use fixed manipulators then lol

Yep. But the MG style hands that come with it can hold it as well. Due to the peg hole on it. It's far better to use the fixed one though.

@bio9205: The only issue I had with the RG Freedom was the armor pieces falling off. It's really good but posing it takes some patience. Same with building it. Takes around 4 hours to build a RG, or maybe I'm just slow?

casval cehack 2012-06-21 13:21

Too fast to appreciate the excitement embodied in each RG box.

That's strictly uninterrupted build time. Cutting trimming fitting.

4 hours?!
I'd say that is pretty fast, way too fast for me to enjoy the build but then I do like to take my time(10 months on and I still haven't finished my 1/72 T80:heh:)
Took me what 10 hours over 3 days to put a HG 00 Rasier together.
Which btw along with the HG Seven Sword, these are great models, solid build compared to alot of the other 00 stuff, even the Exia Repair II which I thought was pretty good but does have it's problems.
I'm actually sorely tempted to get the MG 00 Raiser but at it's price, it's hard to think about getting it>_<
I'd prefer to just push the boat out more and go for the Unicorn with Cage instead:eek:

I personally prefer the MG 00 Raiser since it has much better articulation and accessories. I think you can easily find it with bargain price on the net or local hobby-stores. I surely could find one with cheaper price on local online shop.

About time...they're even providing a stand.

About time! I'll wait for the Custom, though. :heh: I like the colours and design better.
