Makube, is this kit worth getting?
Since you already own one and have already started building it, how is it? Good? Dame? lol

I rather let the picture of my OOB build speaks for itself.

Box of the kit is about the size of your 1/60 kit. The height of it is your average MG. The length of it, as mention earlier, is 25 cm. So all it all, treat it as a MG kit if you will.

Weigh the price aganist the kit and decide if you want it. If you do, it's a toss up between the Exia set or the Dynames set.

Uh, yeah.
I can see it fine, and judging by the appearance, it looks great.
But, I don't know it's loose ends just by looking at it. That's why someone like you, who owns it, gets to hold, can make the review and make an opinion on how you like it. I'll just assume that you think it's mediocre at best, maybe "good."

Anyways, the price seems fair, but the shipping makes me want to say "HELL NO!" at the moment. HLJ's shipping is near 40-50 bucks which is so not worth it.

LOL! I guess it's worth it. :heh: As for me, I'm gonna go ahead and paint it using a very fine brush. XD By the way, did you paint those little small figures that came with the kit?

The only one of those figures I tried to paint was the GP03, because when I stick it in the Dendrobium I wanted to be able to know it was there (all white lol) :heh:

No, I live in the US now. I did visit the country a couple of years ago, however. I bought a few HGUCs and a couple of MGs from an SM megamall in Pampanga. Where exactly are you in the Philippines? And are you a Filipino, by any chance?
No, I'm just passing through. While I was here I figured I can snag some 00 kits. Guess I'll have to wait till I return to the US.

Not only that, but also the small figures that comes with it aren't molded in colors. Horrible! :( But oh well, it's still a decent kit, nevertheless. But if you can get the 1/400s instead of these, then go for it. They're slightly bigger, more detailed, and the small figures are actually molded in color! =O They cost almost an arm and a leg, however... Oh, and check dalong; he recently reviewed both models.

yeah, but the is quite pricey, even without the shipping >_<

anyways, passed down by the mall, got the Kotobukiya's SRX model kit for 35 bucks. Seems like the store is getting more and more SRW models, since first there was only Cybuster, soon the Wild duo arrived, later the 1/100 Alteisen and now the SRX and the Genpest Mk II.
Hope they get Teh Boss for some Zankantou funny shots with the rest of my kits lol

Make no mistake, it's a good kit if you like 'em huge. As far as I know, there's nothing loose from the platform, quite solid and all. And best thing about it, little to no painting required for the platform. I'm not going to say anything about the Exia as it's the same old HG Exia.

Besides, this will be a one-of-it's-kind kit that will see no appearance on a larger scale. If you are worry about shipping, try opting for snail mail or search out online dealers in parts of Asia like Hong Kong, Taiwan or Singapore where they are more likely to charge less for shipping.

It's a resin kit. Most likely it's not from Bandai.

B Club is the Bandai Hobby subsidary that deals with resin stuff.

Neither. It is the 1/100 Exia.

Astrana 2008-03-15 08:34

ye, they haven't made MG version of any MS in 00

EXEs 2008-03-15 09:01

They'd better hurry and make Exia in MG...If the 1/100 is already that poseable, think MG poseability...

Poseable...? I can't make a pose of Exia(1:100) kneeling.... The hip armors got in the way.... But I agree, Exia is greatly poseable.

anybody know any US-based distributors for gundam models? I kinda don't want to pay an arm and a leg when I order my MG RX-178 when it comes to shipping.

Sir Dearka 2008-03-15 11:42

Now I know I just gotta get Dynames :) Not necessarily the GN ARMS but Dynames for sure.
