Thanks for the input from those who responded. I went to a local collector show last night and found a GP02A and the FAZZ full armor both master grade. So I will probly end up ordering the IWSP next. Though I'll probly just stick to painting and paneling these 2 seeing how much there is to both I really don't wanna try my first full custom on them. Ill probly end up messing around with puddy on my Gundam X 1/100s I have to try my hand at it.

Its a good thing they finally decided to re-design and (re)release the Hi-Nu. The original looked pretty damn crappy in my opinion.

Was the original Hi-Nu ever released in MG form before?

jbui 2006-12-21 15:49

Nope, only converison or resin kits.

Meehlimo 2006-12-21 17:32

I liked the bulky hi nu looked more tough this skiny one makes it look like it could be bitchslaped into pieces.:(

The Alpha Numbers have something to say to you regarding your opinion on their senior field commander's mecha.

Ok is there a major difference between the aile strike + skygrasper pg kit and the rogue strike + skygrasper kit? cuase there seems to be a $100 difference just wondering why and if it was worth spending more on the rogue?

AlphaDragoon 2006-12-21 18:53

That Full Burst Strike Freedom looks pretty damn awesome...but no WoL-esque flares for the exposed wings? They very clearly showed in Final Plus that those things come out when the DRAGOONs are in flight.

LOL XD

I gotta admit though that one of the reasons why I digged the Hi-v look was because it looked like a beefier, bulkier, Obelisk-The-Tormentor version of the original v Gundam. If they skin it down, then IMHO, what's the point of this Hi-v then, might as well just get the original v Gundam if you want a sleek, skinnier look.

Oh wow, only a few visible joint pieces are gold plated. The disappointment continues..

More pictures

Hmm... I'm thinking maybe mounting a Legend or Destiny Gundam on that stand and turn the dragoons around to make it look like SF's dragoons are firing at them, lol.

The poster is also rather disappointing though. I at least wanted some cool artwork or portrait of SF.

This man/woman/whatever has gained the wisdom of ages and captured my thoughts exactly.

SNT1 2006-12-21 20:55

lol, I thought the SF FB mechanism parts are plated all over. Makes it even less worth it; the only thing that makes it worth it (to those who buys the FB mode) is the Barbie-Accessory jewelry boxart of the FB mode.

oh, and its Nu Gundam, not v Gundam (thats a different mecha altogether)

kct 2006-12-21 21:07

At least I'm not expecting to be interested in SF at all. Well, back to the plan for the Zeta 2.0 or see what happens next year.

Meehlimo 2006-12-21 21:54

I thought they were putting 2 frames in it? 30 more dollers for a second stand and a few chrome pieces is criminal.

He was using the Greek letter for Nu, which looks like a "v". So technically it's correct.

It's about 20 dollars more expensive, not 30. But still, this screams ripoff.. looks like Bandai outsmarted us all.

Gundam..>Meteor?

I wonder how many gundam fanboys will go insane over this. :D

kct 2006-12-21 22:49

My eyes burned. Believe it. And I'm not even a fanboy of any universe.

dagr81 2006-12-21 22:49

i was going to get the SF and now that i no this i think i will stick to my wing zero
and my only model

Regarding the slimmed down version of the Hi-Nu, if you look at things from another angle at how it originated, it kinda look appropiate.

Hi-Nu was how the Nu is suppose to look like in the novel before it got sort of redesign for the movie. But somehow the design of the Hi-Nu got beefed up later on.

So my point being, that should people not think of the Hi-Nu as a upgraded beefed up form of the Nu but as how the Nu is suppose to turn out, it's actually not so bad.
