Izumo took Mix not Zessica!!!!

I hate the autors so much for dragging the Zessica's angst so much when it's cristal clear she has no chance... I regret she wasn't the one taken away, it would have at least put all that shit to an halt. Plus it was her wish, and according to Izumo's screen she's very probably the real deal...

I'm a bit happy the villains manages to win something.

Instead of Rare Igura, this episode should be called Drag. Because it really was one, and some scenes just came off as completely awkward. Also, still no sign of Kagura. I'm going to assume he's been tied to the ceiling or something.

The episode focused largely on Mikono at the start, daddy issues (Kotomine what are you doing here? Why are you such an asshole), to some family bonding between her and Cayenne. The latter I'd have called great if not for the fact that the last time they spoke was 15 episodes ago. :heh: Still Cayenne does prove to be a good brother in the little time he's given to actually be a brother. She and Amata have a talk but, as per the DRAG, she runs off before anything meaningful can be said.

But, we do learn that Amata never knew his dad! Dad finally got mentioned. :heh: I'd say it almost guaranteed at this point that Amata is a half/half of Vega and Altair.

Now Zessica. The DRAG here was mind wrenching. I'd have been fine if they just left her with one-sided, happy from the last episode but they didn't do that. Instead we had her and Amata never speak for some conclusiveness, her moping about, showing great signs of insecurity, wondering if she was heading for a dead-end, and then Heartbreak Gattai! They just kicked her down the stairs this episode and I honestly don't understand why at this point. She's just going to collapse inward even more next episode, her emotions and feelings are a total mess. If she'd been kidnapped then the whole drama could have subsided or if she and Amata just spoke and put each other down, but alas, we continue into next episode with more drama.

So.. Can someone explain to me what the heck was Zessica thinking when she flew to Izumo? Was she trying to get herself captured? Or was she trying to prove that she was an effective pilot, but ultimately failed at it?

Finally, a much needed heartwarming brother-sister conversations! Was I the only one who went "d'aww" when Mikono called Cayenne "onii-chan"? I knew it! Much of Mikono's low-self esteem came from being the "unfavorite" sibling. That's pretty harsh though, writing to one sibling and completely ignoring the other one and then talking badly about her in the letter. It's no wonder Mikono still calls herself useless. :/ But it looks like it'll stop due to her brother's much needed flick to the forehead. :P

It looks like Amata & Mikono arn't the only pair who can't seem to spit out their feelings. MIX & Andy get hit with it HARD this episode. Am I the only who feels that Andy's behaviour was a little overdramatic? I know he feels bad, but he could've just apologized. And now this conflict will be dragged on much longer than it needs to be.:/ Who says supporting characters have their problems solved quickly? In Aquarion they don't! :PThey're dragged on like the rest of them! D: Which is not a good thing..

I'm quite angry as well. All the angst brings nothing to the story. It's not a love triangle. They try to sell it at this but it's not. It's just a love story who fails at developping by itself harmoniously and is dragged way too much for its own good.
Dragging poor Zessica in the mud of it won't trick us into thinking otherwise. She isn't even trying to get in the way...

All it manages to do is put Mikono's commitment in a bad light. With Zessica being shown worrying about Amata and even trying to cheer him up when Mikono was not...

Sadist autors, leave her alone. Please.


The way it is now, it would have been better to have her taken away.

It's pretty easy to figure. Sacrifize herself so nothing bad happens to the academy. And getting away of what brings her sufferings. Killing 2 birds with one stone.

Well, that's even more confusing because I don't even get why she's suffering. Last episode she said that she doesn't care that her love is unrequited, but she'll continue loving Amata like a trooper. This episode, she acts like she's already lost the battle when she didn't even see Amata or Mikono do anything. She did a complete 360 and her character returned to it's depressing state like last episode didn't happen at all. And now she'll be worst next episode since her stupid actions got MIX captured. >.>

Last week, she was in a denial phase.

Zessica did something perfectly logical. Being the one with the most desperate life, it was only fair she sacrifizes herself since they couldn't beat that badass Izumo

Well, that's disapointing because her "denial phase" actually looked like character development. Kawamori sure fooled me. :/

What? Trying to stop your friend from their suicide mission is stupid? To me, it looked like she was being a good friend.

Having unrequited love means that you should sacrifice yourself when the time calls for it? Having unrequited love does not mean that your life is the "most desperate", you just get over it like most people do.:/

To me, Zessica's actions were pretty irrational. I know Zessica was trying to be the "sacrifice" here, but she has no idea about what she was trying to get herself into. She was basically jumping into a world filled with horny men trying to impregnate any women that they could find. And she'd jump head first into that because of a broken heart? Really? Her friends were still fighting and she basically gave up on them from the get-go.

The A part of this episode could've been titled "Daddy Issues," and the B part "MOEEEEEEE~" though it's probably just me. :heh: Come to think of it, "MOEEEEEE~" could've been the episode title, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, I'm shallow.

I mean, for one, there's Operator Boy having the most screen time so far in the show.

And then Nakata Jouji as Papa Suzushiro. NAKATA JOUJI. Thank you, casting!!

And then, Mykage. Oh Mykage, why so pretty? I wonder what was up with that wreath, though. Unless Mykage has a habit of playing dress-up all by himself.

And then, Cayenne smiled... :love: he should really smile more often.

And then, Izumo being a total and utter boss and, most importantly, talking a lot. THANK YOU, WRITERS. I liked how he greeted the Neo-Deava gang. "Hello, Earthlings. I'm the enemy boss. Take me to your leader." XD;;

And lol Malloy. "Morooi... moroooi..." XD;;

By the way, Zessica's dress... :upset: she really has no nipples. Why. :upset:

Shallow fangirling aside, as for what actually happened - well, here we see, again, the characters moving as the plot demands, instead of proceeding how they would naturally. Especially Zessica (seriously... seriously :rolleyes: ), but Andy as well, and Mikono had a brief relapse in the A part. Luckily it was only a brief relapse, but it was enough that her talk with Amata went nowhere... again. Ah well, at least it seems she'll be more active in the next episode. At this point I really have no expectations whatsoever, I just take things as they come.

The random wtf stuff that happened is, as far as I'm concerned, random wtf stuff that's going to be explained later, so I'm not particularly concerned about them...
