Note : Newtype indicates that this is a different project from the recently announced anime "for cosplayers" that Taniguchi is planning with World Cosplay Summit.

AFW is also known for animating two underrated titles : Najica Blitz Tactics (a infamously spiritual successor of Aika ; pantyshots in every single seconds :heh:) and Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo (a unusual "housewife" variant of magical girl genre).

Aika? Does that mean this is going to be magical girl shows with lots of pantyshots? But I don't like how they do those in Aika though. Never watched Najica so I don't know if they are the same in that regard.

If they do, well, it's a shame that I'll have to drop this gorgeous art.

Najica is pretty similar to Aika when it comes to fanservice, but I never said Fantasista Doll is going to be fanservice-heavy. I'm just talking about the little studio rather than the new show itself.

Another show that's instantly going on my watch list from the visuals alone. Which is how most shows end up on my watch list. But if it's even pseudo-magical-girlish, it has an audience in me.

Full? I thought the only series announced for Fall 2013 was Log Horizon.

Edit: Oh, wait... this was back in 2012.

It's already up on my watchlist before the date was announced, but I have to say the visuals surprise me a lot, and I like the design of some characters. Given the concept, I'm expecting it to be a slice of life show with magical girl elements, but I don't mind if it turns out to be slightly different than I thought.

Considering he lacks proper writing duties I'd assume the last part is the correct interpretation here, since his other involvement is as the creative producer.
