King of Fighters : Another Day
 

Okay, I'm kinda surprised there arent any topic dedicated to this, so why not? ;)

Well anyway, there're already 2 eps, the first one is about Alba and Soiree where they had already successfuly taken over South Town from Duke, and of course, the one who's causing all the troubles (flames and shits) is highly possibly,



We also have Mai and Athena, though they barely do anything :confused:

In ep 2 (my favourite so far) we have Rock Howard, as you probably know (or not),

Rock's dad, Geese Howard, died the exact same way that was shown in the fights between Terry and Rock, the only difference is that Rock was the one that's shown in the fight instead of Geese, hence make it a "nightmare". Geese Howard himself was a crime boss in the King of Fighter series, and had inhereted the ultimate cursed-blood on which he learned from various martial-arts, and finally the very same evil-blood were passed on to Rock. Billy was Geese's most faithfull right-hand man, picked up by Geese in some circumstances. Rock hated his father because Geese left his mother Julia ( a very wealthy German conglomerate) for his own purpose. Lian was an assasin sent to murder anyone connected with the Howard Connection ( an American corporate juggernaut led by Geese), and that's about it.


From what we know is that,



Personally, I think the OVA was more targeted to the hardcore fans of the series rather , because it really lacked storytelling not to mention plot. Only those familiar enough with the series would probably understand wtf is this all about -_- ;;; , not to mention its too frickin short. This OVA is DEFINITELY a prelude for the next KoF merchandise, King of Fighter : Maximum Impact 2, and this OVA barely stand on its own, that's why it's kinda dissapointing.

But I'm satisfied nevertheless, to see some of my favourite characters animated...... Oh well you can't expect much, but SNK had become lazy......

As for the OAV, yes it's very short >_<! But I really like it, especially the second episode ( I'm a big fan of Fatal Fury :) and Rock :love: )
Too bad we didn't see more of Mai in the first one though :(

Anyway, yes I doubt non SNK fan would enjoy it as much as I do :p ( That's the same problem with FF VII: Advent Children which I adore too :love: )
Those OAV are pure fan service, and I like it! :D

Also the ending song is great! ^^

so far i think it's lame. it's just a big ad for Maximum Impact. none of the cool characters get to do anything.

True but at the same time in those short eps u see more fighting than in some full length animes that are supposed to be all about battles and martial arts.

I kinda liked what they could get accross in 5 minutes that usually takes 20 minutes for other animes to do.

Its a Big Ad for Maximum Impact 2. xD Thats their whole point, it seems, since the last ep will air around the time that MI 2 comes out in japan.

MI 2 is one big raving disappointment too. But yeah, I didn't expect much from 5 minute promotional OVA's. Though they were enjoyable. (Mainly seeing mai in a higher quality anime form :love: )

Yeah. Another five minutes or so would've been good.

Iori just looks bad too. What person would have kind of hair? It's too big, nothing like his normal look.

Actually Iori's hair has always been like that, he's pretty normal for a Iori. :D

Nah, his hair is more puffed up in the anime compared to what I'm used to seeing in the games.


His anime hair just curves in a weird way in the front.

In the first two pics, his hair still doesn't have that weird curve in the front, they're more straight.

i kinda like them, the music was good, drawing showed nice detail, but yes it did lack in length....when i first found it i was like "YES!!! Finally they make an anime outta king of fighters!!!!" but now that i read all it was is a promotion for MI 2 im kinda disappoined!

I heard the ending song was called "Regret" by Dakota Star.

the animation is nice and the fight scene in ep 2 was pretty good but the story so far is crap but i am going to keep watching hoping it gets better

Well, the main characters in MI were Alba Meira and Soiree Meira, they're brothers and had taken over Southtown from the notorius gang leader named Duke (the villain).

MI 2 main characters are still the Meira brothers, while the side-hero characters are seemed to be Kyo, Iori, K' and Rock. The villain is probably Luis, you can see her in one of the url posted above.

Well he seemed to be looking for someone, after he saw the green flame lighting from afar. The green flame is highly probable belongs to Ash Crimson. I didnt remember about him saying losing his powers though.

What does ash crimson look like?
