The old guy is gone, but oh well, he'll live on as Omni Gundam. How does he look? :heh:

Awesome,man!!!!Another good job.I love Omnimon,I love 00 so a combination=WIN!!!!!!!

The Sword reminds me of the odd GN-Swords too,it just bloody fits and the shoulder pads have the spirit of the Twin Drives for some reason.

I think I like this out of your three the most. How did you get that parts to fit so nicely?

C.A. 2009-06-25 14:34

I agree with KaiDamien that it would look even more awesome with the right arm completely replaced with the Wargrey Blade like the Garuru Cannon.

Awesome stuff lol, my Digimon memories just had to return.

I love this, mate. I was a huge Digimon-fan in the past, so I find this MS simply stunning. Great job.

Rising Dragon 2009-06-25 16:33

As nice as those pics are, that, uh, really doesn't tell me anything. =X I can't read Japanese.

kakakka 2009-06-25 16:36

Vs Astray?

And wow at Strike Swords and how it carries its shield :heh:

EDIT: Oh my...I can't help but compare it to 00 :heh:

Critias 2009-06-25 17:02

Vs Astray?

Wow....UGLY.

And I find the shield positioning to be especially awkward.

LoweGear 2009-06-25 17:06

Am I the only one who thought "Bumblebee!!" when looking at the Strike variant? :eyespin:

Reminds me to see Revenge of the Fallen sometime...

C.A. 2009-06-25 17:16

I think I got reminded of Transformers by the dark visage as well.

The contrast of colour scheme is quite weird.

Okamidum 2009-06-25 17:22

^^ It does remind me of all transformers. I don't think its appealing at all. Eh back to seed we go.

Meh, it did not easily fit, lol. I had to do some heavy carving on Omni with just a thin modelling blade. I had a few cuts when the blade slipped.:(

Heh, thanks. I was also a Digimon nut when I was younger. I have good memories of seasons 1 and 3. The rest seemed to suck unfortunately.

The Omnimon figure is like half a body taller than the Damashi 00 though. I tried replacing the hand with the Wargrey sword, but the proportions look unnatually long, thus the attachment.

Patriot's Blade 2009-06-26 00:21

SEED Vs Astray?, the first thing appeared in my head hearing that title was an image of Kira getting punched in the face by Lowe. :heh:

but i hate the rehash of parts in those Mobile Suits cuz its like they ran out of ideas for the MSV series & had to use ideas from the previous models,
& also, some of the colours remind me of something out of a TAKARAtomy Brave series line of robot toys.

man, they should have change the title to "SEED Swapped" instead. :heh:

& for those who think the Strike Gundam in the pic looked like something out of Transformers, yeah your right, its Bumblebee as a Gundam! :heh:

randus 2009-06-26 00:23

The Strike variants looks, uh, ugly. The colors just don't work, at all. =/

However, the shoulders of the first variant kinda reminds me somewhat of Avalanche Exia. ^^;

Ardi220288 2009-06-26 01:33

Not sure about this. The colour somehow really turned me off :heh: let's wait for the actual model to come out

Hmm what's the purpose of the shield up there? :uhoh:

calubin_175 2009-06-26 01:36

Honestly, these should just be classified as third party kit bashes, they don't deserve to be officialised as VS Astray. They are merely rearrangements of existing parts plus a few scratch built original weapons.

Alexus_Z3 2009-06-26 01:48

aaah Finally back online to Gundam Forum :D

Now THAT is awesome!!! I'm not really feeling the cape since it looks so stiff, but I guess there is no other choice.

It looks so cool! Are you gonna touch up the paint on the digimon parts?
