Are you excited about the Naruto anime returning to the manga storyline?
 

So what does everyone think of the Shonen Jumo announcement that Naruto will be returning to the manga storyline in February?

I think this is good as I have not followed the filler anime AT ALL and had seemingly foregotten all about what was once my favorite anime.

But had their been such a long drought that fans are generally not that excited about it?

I have to say that the filler hurt my interest in the show. I still follow the manga but I am primarily and anime fan and always looked forward to seeing the manga come to anime.

Dude i've seen the teaser on youtube today like 50 times!! only the first 20 seconds of it though , seeing S.Uchiha gave me butterflies :D

Since I became impatient and started to read the manga six months ago, I'd assume my answer would be I'm not excited, but when I really think about it I am. In the case of an action series like Naruto, animation really does make all the difference, and since the characters will be older it will be even more new.

I can't wait for the new series of Naruto to come out I had stopped watching the show after about the 65th filler. Which i think is around the episode were Naruto defeated sun man by reflecting his attack off his headband.

I don't know... on the one hand, animation can definatly add on well to the fights... but on the other hand, nothing new will really be in the anime, and after over a year of reading the manga, i've kinda become rather disinterested in the anime...

not to mention my studies into animation has been have a bit of a negative effect on how a veiw anime animation

For sure, anime producers are notorious for cutting corners in their animation. Repeated use of the same frames, static images over moving backgrounds, animating characters mouths but not the rest of their faces, etc. But I think we will see some very high-quality animation, maybe even surpassing the Lee-Gaara fight. Not every episode of course, but I imagine they will be trying to pull out the stops to impress the viewers and re-hype the franchise. Anyway, anything will look good after a year of filler.


BTW, does anyone know if they'll be starting Part II with the Kakashi Gaiden or not?
