I thought it was only a matter of time till there would b an anime but I'm still a bit wary about it. I hope it will be as funny as the manga^^

Vampire 2009-12-10 15:38

Saw it coming from a mile away. I'll make sure to watch it.

I am very interested to see how the anime will handle the various other manga series (ala Crow, Detective Trap, etc) that are briefly glimpsed throughout the course of the story. Will they show these scenes as anime, or will they simply show the manga panels?

Shiroth 2009-12-10 17:19

Nice to see a thread for this.

As i've said in the manga thread, it's brilliant news. There's plenty of material out, and there will be lots more by the time this airs in fall next year. Here's hoping that Madhouse, and the team behind Death Note work on this adaptation.

gonzo562 2009-12-10 17:55

1year till this anime comes out:(

Foreshadow 2009-12-10 18:13

Looking Forward to this - Anybody find it kind of funny the manga beat Mashiro to an Anime ;)?

Patriot's Blade 2009-12-10 19:32

YESSSS!!!!

the Detective Trap manga has finally become an anime!!

Mashiro/Saiko's dreams have become a reality!!
& he HIMSELF is also being adapted into anime!! :heh:

looking forward to the Shonen Jump & Death Note parodies!!

"just as planned" :heh:

ZODDGUTS 2009-12-10 20:28

Like the manga but don't like the romance part. Wish it had concentrated more on the part of the struggles of being a manga-ka and not the silly overblown romance stuff which happens to be the worst part of the manga.

Automatically goes on the "look-out" list. Hopefully we'll know which studio is doing it soon.

Azuma Denton 2009-12-11 04:36

hmm Fall 2010...
will be waiting for quite a while...

will they mention title's like Naruto, Bleach or any other Shounen Jump series in the anime??

Photonbeam 2009-12-11 04:55

2nd best news I've heard since Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu's anime announcement.

kyouray 2009-12-11 06:40

Staff :
Director : Kenichi KASAI (カサヰケンイチ), Noriaki AKITAYA (秋田谷典昭)
Series Composition : Reiko YOSHIDA (吉田玲子)
Animation production : J.C.STAFF

Source : moonphase

Lilith 2009-12-11 06:48

This is awesome news! I love the manga (when will Viz publish it?!). While I'm a mad fan of mad house, J.C Staff aren't bad (H&C and Nodame <3).

Long time to wait until Fall 2010~ Time to play "who's gonna be the seiyuu" game. :D

Shiroth 2009-12-11 06:51

Wait what Kenichi Kasai? Wow that's brilliant.

J.C. Staff should do a good job.

This isn't Gintama, I think they'll keep the original names as they have in the manga...

lixuelai 2009-12-11 10:02

I would think the studio would be given some leeway considering that it is in the manga and the manga runs in the same serial as the referenced stuff.

Anyway hope they do a good job.
