Oretsuba from Navel
 

Hey guys,

I saw another memeber post about Oretsuba and the animation looks extremely good. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this will be a manga or an anime? Any information would be greatly appreciated. ^_^!

Oretsuba ~ Under the Innocent Sky is Navel's latest Visual Novel/AVG.

Character designs if you have noticed are from Aoi Nishimata, the same artist for all of Navel's works. The theme and setting this time is done with emphasis on the winter season.

There is no scheduled release date yet, but from what I predict it will be out around December 2006 just in time for the winter game rush. No anime or manga release has been announce yet (The game is still in production), but Oretusba is likely candidate for one depending on the success of Soul Link the anime and the game itself.

Not much else is known about Oretsuba since Navel is keeping a lot of things under wraps. Still that hasn't kept it from developing much publicity among fans and alike. It's already voted in polls to be one of the top games in 2006 along with the next Pia Carrot installment and Da Capo II.

I'll see about posting some character info later when I get the time~

Even though the space setting sounds cool, I wasn't really! interested in Soul Link will have to watch/play it to see what it is really like. But Oretsuba on the other hand looks really Nice, not a huge fan of a winter setting but it doesn't look to bad here.

From all the Character Designs Naru Ootori and Hiyoko Tamaizumi (More so the one with her in the Dress on the site, she looks quite a bit different there) look great, oh! and Eriko Hino sure has a Funky design ^^ and looks like the same cat toy that was in shuffle makes a appearence here as well.

Well to bad its going to be a while before it comes out, but this is a game (anime... ^^) I'm going to be looking forward too, btw thx for the extra info Cloudnine.

so judging from what i've seen, shuffle is the first game by navel right? followed by soul link, then tick tack, then shuffle on the stage, and lastly oretsuba? is this order correct?

If you don't count in re-releases and standard editions, that's about right.

Shuffle! First Edition (3 CD) was released in 1/30/04, shortly followed by by the Regular version (DVD)

Soul Link debuted on 12/17/04 along with a re-release of Shuffle!

Tick! Tack! is Navel's latest work, released on 9/16/05.

Considering the time frame in between games, Oretsuba will come out around fall/winter schedule.

shuffle on the stage? will this be an anime also, and how does it work into the story

Ooo... one of the girls is holding a stuffed animal that looks exactly as Primula's cat plushie! I wonder if there could be any connection between this game and Shuffle other than the cat-cameo.

Probably no more then the same dog appearing in Adachi's mangas.

Most likely Navel is using the cat plushie as it is mascot.

We will probably see more of it in later Navel games.

Speaking of mascots, the maid better watch out. The panty brat is probably lurking around somewhere.

By the way, I've decided to give my support to Hiyoko. Somebody start a fan club and sign me up. :)

As with most visual novels, you are the male protagonist. Events and scenes are done in a limited first person perspective and the choices you make will affect the outcome of the story~

Panty boy will appear in the game~ I'm currently taking bets on which girl will be his next victim ^^;;

So far, Hiyoko is in the lead as she is the most likely to wear striped panties.

And Kobato Haneda (with the bright red bow) is a Mayumi look-alike. I wonder if the personality will match as well...

you are right, but look at the sites of shuffle, tick tack, and soul link. all of them have pics of the main character. even though you won't see yourself other than in h-scenes, most will still show you what your character looks like. anyways navel seems to be one of the few companies around where they show you your character's face in the CGs. a lot of games have a faceless guy in their CGs.

wow...just switch the hairstyles and eye colour and it Shuffle! all over again!! :heh: anywho it looks pretty cool

They all look similiar... to shuffle characters like .. Kaede + Sia fusion..

Dunno, this looks quite un-exciting to me... :rolleyes:
Only the third girl (Kobato) looks *mildly* interesting, the others look quite boring...
