Since this is Comic Spirits, I was expecting this to be adapted to live action, not anime.

I'm impressed about how good are the OP and ED for this series, Tachibana's voice was perfect but I have mixed feelings about Kondou.
This show is so comfy and cute, Tachibana's reactions adds so much feel to this especially when it comes to the Manager taking note of every single detail. So far this was a really good start. |
Both the OP and the ED were very good. And Akira is such a cute beauty. What a waste on middle-aged sloppy Kondo. XD
Looks like Kondo won't hop on the Akira train though given he thinks she glares at him and believes she has a boyfriend. That does make more sense though than thinking such a beautiful highschool-girl could be in love with him. Her reactions to finding out that he's married and got a kid, then being with said kid and finding out he's divorced were pretty adorable. It's going to be a wonderful anime to watch for sure if it keeps it that way. <3 |
That was a sweet premiere. Akira's reaction to finding out that he has a son and her later reaction to finding out that he's divorced were cute and got me to chuckle.
I'll also echo everyone else and say that the OP and ED were pretty good. |
Been long since I ever watched Noitamina shows and good lord what a great start.
It truly deserves to be called art and the direction was pretty good. Is the Akirai's VA new right? |
Sorry - looks like this thread was locked by accident. It's open again.

Now that would be one hell of a schoolgirl crush if I've ever seen one. That said I can't help but get the feeling that the series started in the middle of the story, given how we're sort of being plopped down in the middle of things it seems.

That was my favorite first episode of the season. Everything about it was really, really good. Given that Wit is already doing Mahoutsukai no Yome, I wasn't sure how it would look, but the animation was great.
Akira feels like she'll be a great heroine (tough and cute at the same time), and Kondou seems like a great guy. Very curious to see how she'll manage to grow closer to him. Her first attempt ended in a disaster, and Kondou seems to think she dislikes him. She did score some points by getting friendly with his son though. I enjoyed the "show, don't tell" approach. We know Akira used to be in the track and field club, and later on we saw a scar on her achille's heel. Easy to put two and two together, and it makes us wonder what exactly happened to her. |
My fave first ep of the season. Great mixture of visuals, music and timing. Akira is the type of protagonist I want to cheer for in a romance title. Justifications were well set up. This is quite different to typical romance, which is what I want.

Yay, the thread was finally unlocked.
Great first episode. Probably the best first episode this season. Cute and funny, and the old-style character designs are also interestingly attractive. |
Like other posters here, I really loved the first episode. I hadn't read the manga at all so had no idea what to expect. Akira is an interesting MC - while she is not particularly expressive it is not overdone and instead we are shown through her subtle reactions and her actions just what she feels. There's also something slightly predatory about her and I hope to see that she is more proactive than normal MCs in love.
Incidentally, I think the intended meaning of the title would be something like "Love is like how the world becomes fresh and new after a passing rain shower". In Akira's case, the rain shower was her injury and the world becoming fresh and new was due to her meeting with Kondo. |
Strange no one commented on her listening to the ending theme at the start of the episode.
