[Freeware] Japanese Game Translator
Bishoujo Game Translation Assist
AUTO Real-Time TRANSLATION http://www.ck16.com/bgta/images/bgta_400.jpg Home Page Download Just a beta test version now, and don't know what will happen on a non-kanji system. Test it if sb. have interest. You may need to run BGTA with AppLocale and choose Japanese language on non-kanji system. |
So this works... How exactly? :eyebrow:
|
I didn't test it
But any translator needs a 'dictionary' file Aren't the files there too small to have any kind of dictionary? Just the dictionary files I use with JWPce altogether are more than 20Mb, and these files are the simplest thing ever:rolleyes: |

is this thing is safe? and is this thing can translate even the choices? and can you provide a better manual on this on how to use this one.
|
Given that this is only in beta phase, I doubt you should think of it as an alternative to learning Japanese/having the game itself translated.
|
It seems that it functions as connector to AGTH with dictionary and AGTH to the game screen. So, instead of showing the results at the dictionary, it would show it at the game screen instead. Interesting, but still in Beta version. And the inability to select the text in the AGTH would prove to scatter the translation's quality, since translating the whole text most of the time gives bad translation, compared to manual text selection (But maybe it won't bother so much for short-text-oriented dialogue/monologue game).
EDIT: And when I tried to download it, the file seems missing. |
Mh interesting program(for me), cause for people, who have poor³ japanese knowledge(like me). :D
Well i managed to understand the program but it seems, the dictionary file is missing. BGTA said, they are on the net. Does someone know, where i could fine these? Let say for Fortune Arterial. :) I hope someone knows. :) |

Google Translate Added. Is it better? |

I agree! :) The translations are from my point of view (a lot) better. But i have kinda another problem, that the program cant "see" all words. Here is an example. Look the sentenses, which are ingame and which the program translated. To bad, some are missing. Spoiler for picture:
Anyone an idea? :) |
Ehm.. Im not quite sure, so i want to ask those, who tested this tool, too.
Does someone of you have the same problem, as i have or am i the only one? Perhaps, someone has a solution. |

I will try to do it. Thanks. :) EDIT: Ok after reading some tutorials and the stuff with the code, i manged to handle it. Very cool. Thanks a lot. :) |
Here's another good online translator I've had some good success with:
http://excite.co.jp/world/ It's based on one of those expensive programs. Also might I recommend an option to view more than one translation at a time? It's a lot easier to figure out what's being said when you're looking at a variety of translations. |
still i will try to stick to learning japanese
|
i have a little problem, when i click to continue translating the game a message appears saying "waiting for avoiding banning from engine", i can wait 1 or 2 seconds and translate again, but the problem is that is on almost every sentence and it gets very annoying, someone has the same problem?
http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4...a234wu4.th.jpg also sometimes the text is incomplete and i dont understand those /H commands xD |

It appears, when you click to early on the translation button. Just wait, uptill the translation remains to "Translate". That solved the problem at me. |
