Yashamaru is the brother of the mom of Gaara. ( I hope you know who Gaara is...)
So that means Yashamaru is Gaara's uncle.
Now that Gaara's mom is dead, Yashamaru sort "takes care" of Gaara..But well, that didn't last for long......Watch the last couple of eps and you know who he is.
