Those aren't model kits though. Those are conversion sets.

Well, according to Bandai's hobby site, the MG S-Freedom Special Option version has been renamed to "Strike Freedom Gundam Full Burst Mode", or something along those lines. And the model kit comes with two beam shields, which is nice I guess. But the lack of pictures is frustrating me.. when will we get a decent picture of the gold plated version? Bah.

Based on experience, it's best if you use a plastic cutting pliers, like the ones used by Tamiya. Personally, I think that the kind of pliers sold at craft shops (the ones that do scrapbooks or beads) do well enough, and they're cheaper than the Hobby Pliers. Remember, the pliers are there to separate the part from the tree/sprue. They're not usually meant for detail work. If you have a problem trying to cut the part away from the tree, try cutting the whole section of the sprue (to seperate it from the rest of the tree), then cut off the sprue bits.\

I actually have a Dengeki Hobby mag from 2000 that shows some of these basics, plus how to use sandpaper and primer. I'll see if I can scan it in and post one of these days.

theOtherGuy 2006-12-02 03:43

Hmm...kind of reminds me of This Cow Is Purple website. I think the first one I saw was the Sword Calamity DVD (or you can find them all here).

kct 2006-12-02 05:34

Well I might as well repaint the whole thing, seems that all I need is some sandpaper-ing (which is unfortunately something I can't do right now given my work schedule, and no, GunPla is not something during the night).

Model Scissors

I know that not having scissors for a model kit is pathetic, but I've been making due with a large set of exacto blades. Anyway, I've been wondering if anyone knows about a website to get them....if so, can you send me a PM? Thank you in advance!!!!

I'd be surprised, but very pleased if the SP Options also included another beam shield, like the other SFs never had v_v;...

The little extras like that which just add more icing to the cake :D .

Anyways, it's December already, meaning it's only a matter of time now. Be patient, no more need for pics when the real thing is already on its way!

So the full burst SF is not limited to first run anymore right? IF that's true, the HK people won't be inflating the prices cos of the whole excess demand thing.

From :-

Just one more day before we'll see some real samples of the SP. Hopefully, Bandai will prove my theory wrong.

Also :-

Release Date 21/12. They are driving the price up to 13000 yen ?

I am sorry if this is a little late but I just saw the linear art for MG Hi-v Gundam or should I say LOW-v Gundam and was wondering what was the general reaction (both in the forum and Japan) bout it?

Hello, I would like to ask which of the 1/144 HG SEED/DESTINY models come with stands (not 1st edition).

On the top of my head I can think of;
Infinite Justice
Destiny
Strike Noir
Stargazer
Murasame + Andy's one
Blu Duel

Is there any others? Any help will be much appreciated, Thanks.
