Holy crud, some parts of the armor look (and feel) QUITE delicate. If you exercise even little force when separating them from the runners, one can't help but to sweat a little and pray for not to screw up.
This thing comes with a monster sheet of decals and drytransfer markings, also, the psychoframe parts surprised me with their color. Yeah, they are pink, but no photo makes them justice to the real thing once you see it with your own eyes.

Also... 4 beam sabers? whoa, but only 2 translucent beam saber parts. Bleh.

Anyways, seems like a pretty good model, also, I'm of the opinion that the Unicorn mode looks more like a GM that doesn't suck lol

Careful with the v-fin, don't try to transform it more than once. I broke it on my first time transforming it back to horn mode. Stupid bandai, they give us a spare permanent horn mode but don't give us a spare v fin mode? :frustrated:

ouch, thats sucks... i just build crossbone fullcloth few weeks ago, a broke the skull on the head, but fortunatly there is a replacement. I've debated to get unicorn for a while, but decided not to, when it transforms the MS seens unproportion, maybe thats just my eyes lol. Last night had few drinks, got tipsy, went on the net and bought 3 MGs lol, they are all cheap ones thou 30CND each. got stop spending money on gundams for a while...

beamknight87 2008-04-05 12:07

yeah... the v-fin parts are extremely thin. Had to be VERY careful to remove the small little remains of plastic from them and still, I felt like if you stared too much at them, they would broke lol.

Guess I'll have to be careful when I build my Unicorn. Not sure if I'm going to do that one next or one of the other 3 models I have to build. But first comes finished my MG Hi-Nu. Which won't take long since I only have the fins, weapons, and shield to go.

silencer.001 2008-04-05 13:19

I have just kept my Unicorn in Unicorn mode, have only transformed it once, but i also prefer Unicorn mode

wow i read every page in this thread haha ive gained quite a bit of knowledge though :D

Derringer 2008-04-06 11:58

I'm not quite sure how you guys are breaking parts without the model falling off a certain height.

Mister Mister 2008-04-06 12:27

that reminds me. I need to get some plastic -glue for my gundam OYW, it fell on its head and now the V-fin won't stay on.

cuz some parts on MGs are really realy tiny and weak, on MG CrossBone Full Cloth, part of the skeleton sign on the head is less than half centimeter wide, and there is also a nub u need cut off on the end of weak part

Spoiler for CrossBone Full Cloth:

Like_Clockwork 2008-04-06 13:19

nice full cloth i was going to get that but i opted for the mg freedom

silencer.001 2008-04-06 13:45

I think that may just be the sticker for the eyes, reflecting the light

Like_Clockwork 2008-04-06 13:50

i have a question about painting the eyes, whats a good color for them? preferably tamiya or model masters stuff cuz thats what my local hobby place has :D

for eyes better use gundam marker imo, green/red are the typical choice. I do OBB, so I don't really paint my gundams. Some times add extra colors to HGs

^not a big fan of the gundam markers i think they have kinda a crappy finish to them i swear i saw a guide on eyes and what not somewhere maybe someone knows what im talking about...it was some tutorial where he showed how to do eyes so that they were pearly look the them

Derringer 2008-04-06 14:00

Ah, I see. I must have small fingers then since I didn't feel the pieces were so small as to be delicate when I assembled mine.

u mean using brush paint or air brush?

gundam markers are good for filling up small areas, not so well with larger areas

Like_Clockwork 2008-04-06 14:15

whoa whoa whoa...

there are some people who DON'T paint the eyes? If anyone uses the stickers for the eyes, stab yourself in your eyes while you're at it. :heh:
