Time to change a hobby.

The story is about a group of young men who were in the same swim team in primary school, who went their separate ways after graduation. But three years later in Highschool suddenly they found themselves united once again. It's about people re-discovering their old friendships.

TBH, while I like the cast members to varying degrees, this lineup doesn't excite me at all. I do like that Wing and Miyano are starring in another anime together. That's as far as my excitement for the cast lineup goes. I-It's not like I'm disappointed Ohsaka, Kaji and Shimono aren't in it like I hoped!

Also all Tumblr and Crunchy users who think they're the reason FREE! happened are all all fucking delusional.

Why not BOTH at the same time! :p

So True!! I'm pretty sure most of them are in over their heads now

Majority of anime made are targeted towards male audience, some with yuri undertones, harem or whatnot and we see no females complain. Now it so happens that one anime is targeted towards female demographic i really feel there should be no need to complain. I for one am happy for this (although i have no intention on watching).

I am a straight male and goddamn I am excited for this. I think this has been mentioned before, but if this venture of Kyoto Animation becomes successful then world domination isn't too far off.

The announced themes of FREE!! are: Swimming, Friendship and Upper Body. Emphasis on Upper Body.

The director apparently mentioned the three major focus in the show are the WATER, Friendship and the human TORSO.

They are also facing the grand task of portraying water properly.

And the ED of the anime would be sang by the 5 main leads. That is new.

I don't think the staggering success of KuroBas can be ignored in its role in prompting KyoAni to greenlight Free.
