Never thought fripSide could pull the opening off, or Yoshino Nanjou being a good singer, but she is, and they did.

... I knew that voice was familiar. "SUGOI" indeed.

Here's the opening

I love the OP. simply amazing,oh and flipside: good job!

Tamad 2009-10-03 00:54

The song itself is standard fripSide material, which in turn is another way of saying that it's good. Now here's to awaiting the ED next episode.

I know someone said it, but I'll do the honors...

Impression of the Opening? SUGOI SUGOI! :p

Keroko 2009-10-03 07:16

Yes, while my initial impression of it was that it was quite bland, I now like it a lot. I'm still trying to figure out why.

MeisterBabylon 2009-10-03 07:22

It's the purdy pictures and the boxers. :uhoh:

Mentar 2009-10-03 09:02

Excellent OP! Gotta see when it comes out...

Sounds very 90's opening-ish...kind of like Slayers almost. It's strange because the other show I checked for this season so far had a 90'sish sounding OP/ED as well. If Darker Than Black 2 has that sound as well then I'm almost going to be tempted to think they are coming back.

Was about to say the same thing. There was that instant nostalgic attraction the moment I heard this song.

Keroko 2009-10-04 06:10

I see I'm not the only one thinking of Slayers.

... Come to think of it, I've been re-running slayers lately, that might explain why I suddenly liked the OP. :heh:

MeisterBabylon 2009-10-05 02:03

...I thot of the late 90s mecha techno anime openings so I guess I'm pretty close... :heh:

Elisa webpage has a preview of Dear my Friend.

MitsubishiZero 2009-10-09 13:12

Just heard the full TV version of Dear My Friend. I'd have to say the ED is quite good, though not exactly my style. I still prefer the OP. The video part doesn't feature much, but the style is clean and simple. I like it.

MrTerrorist 2009-10-09 14:09

Here's the ED

Miraluka 2009-10-09 18:03

The song is good but the visual is not on the same level of Index EDs.

Same_Shark 2009-10-09 22:03

Hello all! The official fripSide website has a preview of only my railgun's PV and believe it or not, it's actually VERY related to the anime.

I think I like Railgun OP&ED more than Index :)) fripside & ELISA did a good job, their songs fit the anime perfectly.
