any ideas , about 200 US budget, need a christmas present for myself :heh:

I'd get the IJ and/or Sinanju. Sinanju is just insanely beautiful and the IJ is pretty cool as well if you want something dynamic. But, you cant really go wrong with the Unicorn either. The Ver. Ka's will take more skill and time to complete though

Why is Kyrios' Trans-am tinted with orange? All the other gundams have diverse colors, but in Trans-am they are all red, so why is Kyrios in an orange tint?

LoweGear 2008-12-26 22:10

Kyrios did have an orange tint during Trans-Am...

Not to the extent the model is showing it...

LoweGear 2008-12-26 22:32

You can still see the parts that are orange though, and you can see that the red on the Kyrios is darker than the orange parts even in Trans-Am . Maybe they could've made the orange on the model a little bit redder to better reflect the image, but it's a very minor detail at best, no use fussing over it :heh:

But I don't use them. I just use nail clippers to clip off remaining pieces.

I'm currently using nail clippers for the job too but sanding down the nurbs tend to ruin the surface of the parts as well.

So there are gunpla sandpaper like gundam markers as well?

Those are probably dry transfer decals. There is a faq on how to apply them.

Scroll down to dry transfer decals.

those are a form us sticker or like those rub on tattoos, you have to cut around the edge with scissors leave a bit of room around the marking to hold on to. Then get some scotch tape and stick the decal to it then place it where you want it to go on the model then use something with a nice edge to scratch the print on to the model.

1. cut around the decal
2. place tap on top of the decal
3. place decal on model
4. scratch the decal onto the model

you should also do a few test applications first to get the idea of how it works, because once its on you cant take it off with out messing it up.

hope i explained it well enough:confused:

Great help guys. :) Going to try it out now.

Cox 2008-12-26 23:43

I believe the trans-am paint they use is very much a red/orange color. To other colors it will darken but to an orange color of Kyrios it stays the same. Just the way the paint is.

Bandai is evil... I don't remember seeing Dynames in TransAm...

LightningZERO 2008-12-27 02:08

Probably just some error

I agree that Trans-Am Kyrios does look too orange-ish

vektar 2008-12-27 02:13

if worse comes to worse you can always paint the kyrios to look more red.
